One of the biggest issues I see in why people seem to blame the current president for past presidential mistakes. It needs to be common public knowledge that when it comes to politics at such a high level, it takes time for legislation to pass. So usually what you see happen is the previous president is responsible for what is happening now. We ought to base our judgement of elected officials less myopically, which seems to be the running theme of these Americans who make this erroneous conclusion.

What a congressional gem! Senator Whitehouse has relentlessly pursued SCOTUS corruption. He and AOC (who filed articles of impeachment on Justices Thomas and Alito) are in stark contrast to the likes of MTG, Lauren Boebert, and so many other Republican toadies. It has been suggested that articles of impeachment against FPOTUS was a strictly partisan effort with no chance of accomplishing anything. Twice impeached FPOTUS could not be removed with 2/3 of the senate voting. That is not entirely a failure. The act of impeachment, by itself, exposes not only the "high crimes and misdemeanors" by FPOTUS, but the complicity of Republican senators. The tit-for-tat impeachment efforts of Biden was utterly absurd, with no justification.
