This song reminds me of my dad in the car on the way to the next Air Force Base and 😢he'd get on a plane and fly to Vietnam , he used to tell us keep listening to this song and I'll be home soon ❤️. To this day I still listen to it today it gives me peaceful reminders. Simon and Garfunkel are great musicians even to this day. You can feel their music through your heart and to me that's the way music should be.

This song was very popular when I was stationed in South Korea in 1970.
We played this song repeatedly until the day came about when I rotated back to THE REAL WORLD.

last day of a 6-month long motorcycle journey throughout the great USA the song came over the radio. Had a fantastic trip but at that moment I was looking forward to pulling into the driveway. Long time ago but hearing the song it seems like it was yesterday.

I've been a fan of S&G for nearly 50 years and I just realized today that the tempo changes and the snare drum in this song mimic the sound of a locomotive speeding up and slowing down as it moves from town to town. How did I never catch that before?

It's details like that which make songs like this truly timeless--even after half a century of listening, I'm still finding new reasons to love this song...

When I was in the army. We were in the field Grafenwoehr for a month long qualifying in Germany 1982. I had two cassettes. Simon and Garfunkel live in central park & Neil young Harvest! GRAT MUSIC.

my siblings going steady back then. I did not yet get with guys back then. I just a kid. she got married moved off and we never saw much of one another then. I longed for sister talk. But there never was. Her hubby drew her portrait did a great job. wonder what happened to that art.

My first husband was in college far away from home and used to write me love letters all the time. He was very homesick and one of the letters said "everyday's an endless stream of cigarettes and magazines." It always just stayed with me. He died at 30 from malignant melanoma. We were married for 7 years. I still miss him everyday 💙

I remember the first time I heard this.I was visiting my friends who lived across the street from me.Their sister was listening to the radio and this song was playing.

On the USS ENTERPRISE leaving Yankee Station for returning to the real world we flooded the airways with Homeward Bound.

Inside the park home run

I was 18 yrs old and taking my sister to Oakland Airport she was taking off to Europe. This song came on the radio when she boarded the plane. Never forget that day
