The season 2 finale of the television show The Leftovers introduced me to this classic...
Ответить😺
ОтветитьSuch a privilege growing up during this time!! Like something special going on in the earth's atmosphere 😊
Ответить❤
ОтветитьWell, it’s always been what you’re fighting for. Now, today’s people are fighting for really what?
ОтветитьThis song reminds me of my dad in the car on the way to the next Air Force Base and 😢he'd get on a plane and fly to Vietnam , he used to tell us keep listening to this song and I'll be home soon ❤️. To this day I still listen to it today it gives me peaceful reminders. Simon and Garfunkel are great musicians even to this day. You can feel their music through your heart and to me that's the way music should be.
ОтветитьMemories of days gone by.
This song was very popular when I was stationed in South Korea in 1970.
We played this song repeatedly until the day came about when I rotated back to THE REAL WORLD.
On a tour of one nights stands
My suitcase and guitar in hand
And every stop is neatly planned
For a poet and a one man band
Man, I love this song.
I wish I was
ОтветитьSUBLIME... two-and-a-half minutes of the best music ever
ОтветитьCame here after watching The Leftovers. Don't know if I love this song or the series more
ОтветитьYeah a home & stability are essential. I need to move on.
ОтветитьForced instability served a bunch of ppl. Not me. LMK what’s next.
ОтветитьGrateful I got to see my friends and see things through where they live.
ОтветитьWhen I hear this song I think of my great grandad leaving from Mexico to the U.S. in a train and becoming a soldier in the civil war at a tender age of 16
ОтветитьGreat song❤ So glad I grew up with parents with great musical taste.
ОтветитьSimon and Garfunkel is where it's at..one hundred percent!
Ответитьlast day of a 6-month long motorcycle journey throughout the great USA the song came over the radio. Had a fantastic trip but at that moment I was looking forward to pulling into the driveway. Long time ago but hearing the song it seems like it was yesterday.
ОтветитьI've been a fan of S&G for nearly 50 years and I just realized today that the tempo changes and the snare drum in this song mimic the sound of a locomotive speeding up and slowing down as it moves from town to town. How did I never catch that before?
It's details like that which make songs like this truly timeless--even after half a century of listening, I'm still finding new reasons to love this song...
Every time I hear this song I want to cry 😢😢😢😢I miss my childhood
ОтветитьI want go back in time im crying 😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢im sad inside crying
ОтветитьMy cousins favorite song. He was a Green Beret in Vietnam 1966. Came home a heroin addict and never saw his 35th birthday. Gary may not have died in Nam, but Nam killed him.
ОтветитьGreat production on these songs on Simon and Garfunkel's masterpiece album☆!
ОтветитьAnd we can all be Homeward Bound because of mr.Bridge over troubled waters Jesus Christ Himself
ОтветитьDad's music ❤
ОтветитьBliss
ОтветитьThe song was actually written at a railway station.
ОтветитьHow sweet 🎂. He wrote this song for his wife, Carrie Fisher.
ОтветитьWhen I was in the army. We were in the field Grafenwoehr for a month long qualifying in Germany 1982. I had two cassettes. Simon and Garfunkel live in central park & Neil young Harvest! GRAT MUSIC.
ОтветитьMy high school band at school played this. I struggled bc I am just starting out on trumpet and it sucked.
Ответить😇✝️
ОтветитьMy work involves traveling and i can relate to all the towns looking all the same
ОтветитьHal Blaine on drums and Carol Kaye on bass.
ОтветитьSometimes you get up at 3 in the morning and have to sing this song. That dream is fading, and your feelings forelorning and you're standing there alone. Eveyone wants to find home.
ОтветитьI'm 66 i remember this song in Detroit in the summer time eating ice-cream such carefree days
ОтветитьLOVE THIS SONG😢😢😢😢,GOING THROUGH A PAINFUL TIME, DEALING WITH MY PARENTS DIVORCE, I WAS JUST A YOUNGSTER, I DIDN'T UNDERSTAND IT, I RELATED TO THIS SONG😢😢😢😢
ОтветитьCheck out the live. It really just destroys this version with its beautiful whimsical energy.
ОтветитьThis is my FAVE SIMON & GARFUNKEL
Ответитьmy siblings going steady back then. I did not yet get with guys back then. I just a kid. she got married moved off and we never saw much of one another then. I longed for sister talk. But there never was. Her hubby drew her portrait did a great job. wonder what happened to that art.
ОтветитьThe Leftovers season 2 finale brought me here SUCH AN AMAZING SHOW and funale
ОтветитьMy first husband was in college far away from home and used to write me love letters all the time. He was very homesick and one of the letters said "everyday's an endless stream of cigarettes and magazines." It always just stayed with me. He died at 30 from malignant melanoma. We were married for 7 years. I still miss him everyday 💙
Ответитьeve plumb
ОтветитьHome made apple pie
ОтветитьI remember the first time I heard this.I was visiting my friends who lived across the street from me.Their sister was listening to the radio and this song was playing.
ОтветитьOn the USS ENTERPRISE leaving Yankee Station for returning to the real world we flooded the airways with Homeward Bound.
ОтветитьInside the park home run
ОтветитьI was 18 yrs old and taking my sister to Oakland Airport she was taking off to Europe. This song came on the radio when she boarded the plane. Never forget that day
ОтветитьThank you Jesus Christ ❤
