Great video!
Any advice about type of waggler fishing rod (eg weight/name type/grade/material) when you are fishing and possibly/inadvertently catch heavier or larger fish/carp, and avoiding rod breakage?
Brilliant, as always
ОтветитьI fish the Waggler at every opportunity. Using a Pole when not in a Match?...not a chance !
ОтветитьLoving the waggler! But, I've found with the visi wag, yes they are the best for visibility at distance, but they crack very easily, you have to treat them so gently when handling. Great vid, gotta get some waggler in this week🐟🪱🎣👍
ОтветитьThx Steve 👍
Always enjoy watching ur vids 😃
T'was 1979.....a 6ft rod from Woolworths.....float, a piece of bread.....and I was hooked ! I love waggler fishing. The anticipation!
ОтветитьEnjoyed watching could I ask would you fish the same method if fishing with other baits eg corn or pellets or go over depth more for best results 😊 👍🏻
ОтветитьInteresting video but please stop biting your shot on to the line. Remember no. 8 shots are made from lead.
ОтветитьGreat video. My preferred method of fishing.....
ОтветитьWaggler fishing is still my favourite method. Love catching match sized carp on light gear. It’s my year round go to method!
ОтветитьLift method waggler fishing is absolutely my favorite way of carp fishing. There is something hypnotic about seeing the float come up and the water exploding after you set the hook.
ОтветитьWaggler man and self confessed lift method addict.... 😂😂
ОтветитьNice…👌🏻🤩
Ответить13 years old, 6ft spinning rod and small crystal wagler fishing bread flake for brown trout on the local brook. Hooked on the method these days but after watching this think I'm going to go and try the wagler again
Ответить1977- 6 year old, length of 2lb mono, and a bent pin as an hook, with a worm as bait, caught a minnow, my cousin caught a perch, using the same set up. I was hooked on fishing from then on.
ОтветитьStill my favorite method of fishing, how my dad taught me to fish
ОтветитьSo, are you staying clipped up? What do you do if a fish needs more line than the 3 turns worth you've put back on your reel?
Ответитьthe waggler is winning every match on my local water in winter or summer.
ОтветитьHi Steve,
I started fishing 66 years ago, at age 14, using 'gentles', as we called them then, and with the float attached top and bottom. About 3 years later, my sister's boyfriend introduced me to waggler fishing, so I changed to that. Today, I fish with 2 rods. One using a cage feeder in conjunction with a 'lockslide' float, and the other one using a waggler. I make my own bread/pellet paste for the cage feeder and maggots for the waggler. 2 weeks ago, early April 2025, I caught a mixed bag of 74 roach & rudd, not far out from the bank, on the waggler and 2 carp on the cage feeder. Great day's sport with plenty of exercise for an arthritic 80 year old. Thanks for the video. It brought back memories, but as you see, I have moved with the times.

That’s a forgotten technique. Super effective when you can hold a pile for hours
ОтветитьI use a telescopic rod. Cheapo real and always float fish.
ОтветитьThese commercial holes in the ground that are overstocked with starving fish, have killed the true art of angling. Rabbit in the hat fishing is not for me...
