amazing video! do you have anything to say regarding battery comparison? I am right to think that the iPhone on action mode might run out of battery in less than 1 hour? while a gopro might last 2 hours?

Well I think you sold me on not buying a go pro. My iPhone 12 is just as good and less to carry around and fool with.. I’ve always wanted a go pro though

Pretty interesting. If the iPhone was repairable I would almost consider making one my daily driver and for recording video. Otherwise considering getting an older one to use as a camera that has zoom unlike the gopro.

I’m interested in knowing if the GoPro iso was set to automatic in the night shots? The iPhone will push the iso up automatically but sometimes the GoPro is set to 800 iso unless you change it.

GoPro is better than iPhone in Mounting and wider framing with 5.3k res.

iPhone is better in low light. So that's the only use case for which it makes sense to use iphone.

Something that he didn't mention is swappable batteries and memory cards. All of these features makes GoPro a clear winner if you are shooting action videos. For me, i always have my phone for some impromptu shoots, but carry a gopro if i plan to shoot sports/action stuff.

I was going to get a GP11, but this video completely backed up my suspicion that my IP14 ProMax is more than good enough my needs. The ProMax is even better than the Pro so there's really no need for a GoPro unless you're jumping out of a plane or trying to land a double backflip on a BMX bike...even then there are some more than adequate phone mounts these days. The only area I saw where the GP was better was the mic, but there are now excellent microphones for the phones too.

Go Pro not really champ in low light and audio. TBS Overall image looked more cinematic and natural with GoPro. iPhone image looks really HDR and white balance is of.
