THANK YOU FOR THE POSTING OF THE VIDEO FEATURING J.J. JOHNSON. VERY MUCH APPRECIATED. THANK YOU AGAIN.
Ответитьジェイジェイジョンソン 素晴らしい。ナットアダレイのCD持ってるよ。トロンボーン好きに悪い人はいないと、思います。
ОтветитьNice comment, thanks.
ОтветитьThank you JJ for your pure sound.. Thank you Rosolino for your Technical ability. 2 huge influences for me.
ОтветитьIn my life I've been listening to and playing (mostly as a guitarist) many styles from rock to classical but every time I go back to stuff like this I'm always astonished by the timeless beauty of this music; my beloved father, who passed away last December, had a few vinyl records of JJ Johnson he used to play when I was just a baby and this music is part of me to such a point that no matter how long I don't listen to it, whenever I do is always like coming back home; great artist whatsoever.
ОтветитьMy favourite trombone sound ever....
ОтветитьExelente
ОтветитьSuch a nice interpretation of Misty. It's son cute to remember so many things listening this trombone.
ОтветитьHe made the Bone sound like butter. The greatest that's ever done it. Miss you.
ОтветитьJust close your eyes and let this mellow sound caress your mind and heart... and drift you into the most romantic dream... !!!
ОтветитьTHank you for Posting this beautiful rendition of JJ Playing Misty
Ответитьperfect
ОтветитьUn grand morceau, par un grand tromboniste, que du bonheur ...
Thank you Erroll GARNER and JAY -JAY
JJ's tone feels like a hot knife cutting through butter. It's just so smooth and delicate. Amazing!
ОтветитьEvery time I hear this it brings me to tears....I miss him very much!...a true gentleman and a great player. My trombone teacher and mentor.
ОтветитьI believe you could hand him a student grade horn from the local high school to play this and you would be hard pressed to hear the difference. He makes the horn sound great, not the other way around. Those of us lusting after the latest and greatest horn to makes us sound better are kidding ourselves. Look up the directions to Carnegie Hall.
Ответитьhe has a decarbo (or butler) carbon fiber trombone before they existed
ОтветитьSeine Stücke, auch dieses, gehen wie ein heißes Messer durch die kalte Butter ...
His pieces, even this, go like a hot knife through the cold butter ...
Wow.
ОтветитьMisty Maravilhoso JJ Johnson, Rio da Janeiro Brasil .
ОтветитьLove your sounds 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
ОтветитьThank You _____JJ __ for giving us so much......Will always appreciate your contributions to the art of Jazz.
Ответитьボントロは聴いてこなかったなぁ。
ОтветитьThis man committed suicide the early part of the Millenium. When I discovered him as a young adult, l discovered the trombone as a beautiful instrument. I loved this man. It was a lot of beauty in his personal life also, consisting of his devotion to his ailing wife. What drove him to his death is unknown. He seemed very private. 😢
Ответитьbeautiful trombone sound
ОтветитьJ. J. is still the greatest.
Ответить💞💟🌿😉
ОтветитьMaravilloso Jay Jay Johnson.
ОтветитьI idolized this guy, my mentor.
ОтветитьThe first minute is just pure trombone bliss!
ОтветитьSweetest Misty🎶🎉
ОтветитьBpm?
ОтветитьThe best to ever do it. Pure soul behind that sound.
Something about JJ Johnson’s music gives me nostalgic and warm feelings I can’t describe
So THIS is the song Riker could never manage to play despite tons of practice
ОтветитьSome people said that JJ did not use vibrato. They should listen to how subtle it is here. Plus, he uses his slide between notes so there is no doubt that this is a trombone playing. Mellow, musical, and magnificent.
ОтветитьTimes With Times .
ОтветитьPro fessir.
ОтветитьWhat key did you play that song in?
Ответитьafter hearing this recording my respect to J J Johnson has gone. one must have a talent to play such a great tune with this unconsciousness just in order to destroy the original tune's vibes.
ОтветитьThis one is especially for Evelyn
ОтветитьSound first. Then absolute brilliance. He has a sound any major orchestral player would seek, but then to add unbelievable feel with the incredible creativity he demonstrates in his solos--one of one.
ОтветитьI first began listening to J.J. Johnson in the early 1960s as a teenager residing in the rough and tumble, but creative streets of Philadelphia. Didn’t know it then how Jazz would be so important in my life. Indeed, writing my Master’s thesis in the early 1970s it was the great music of so many musicians and singers who kept me afloat during those lonely nights writing in my apartment in Seattle. As a young child growing up in West Philly we lived around the corner from McCoy Tyner whose mother was my mom’s beautician or hairdresser as they were called then. I’m writing about those experiences now with the great Jazz masters in the background still inspiring me. Peace!
ОтветитьWonderful trombon Jazz ! Thank you!
ОтветитьJJ's finest album. "JJ!" on rca victor.😮
ОтветитьSo few comments.
ОтветитьClassic...
