Marseilles, France. The assassination of Alexander I occurred on 9th October 1934.
Alexander I of Yugoslavia travels through streets of Marseilles. Shots are fired and the crowd scattered. Various close shots of the face of Alexander after the assassination - you can see the life ebb away as his head is cradled by helpers. Civilians and police move around a man in the crowd. Police bustle away a man - presumably the assassin Petrus Keleman - into a car.
N.B. French Foreign Minister Louis Barthou also died in this incident.
