The diamond file or saw...one of each would be soooooo good in that size...really wish they would use the older blade style. It was still legal everywhere being under 3"
ОтветитьImagine if they took a Roxon approach and that wire stripper was the scissor component of the tool?
ОтветитьFun fact: SOG sells a separate wire stripping tool on their site that you can add into their larger MT's
ОтветитьThere was a Radio shack branded e4 which was the first Leatherman I ever owned. Also one of my favorites.
ОтветитьWhat about the Wingman or the Sidekick? They already offer a spring assist option while being cheaper to produce due to the stamped sheet metal design? I do like where you are going with this idea.
ОтветитьI have the ES4 for smaller wire I use for model trains and electronics that is my absolute go to tool. A larger version of that with a little more capability would be fantastic!
ОтветитьLove my es4. Whenever I have an electrical project it goes right in my pocket. Great little backup to have and it has saved me many steps when shtf so I could finish the job without having to go back to the shop for more tools
ОтветитьI bet Klein would take this idea on
ОтветитьGet rid of the knife blade , EDC people carry better knives Put in a scalpel holder , Anything but a knife in crap steel The knife is outdated we have been over this
ОтветитьA Juice frame with wire stripper jaws, and a file and #11 blade holder on the outside, with just a bit receiver or a more robust Phillips that could work with the adapter would be really neato
ОтветитьGarage #03 coming out next week
ОтветитьYes! I like your idea.
I really like the juice size. It has a place for when you don’t want anything on your belt and if you use it you don’t draw unwanted attention. But since I expect nothing out of leatherman, hopefully a Chinese company makes a high quality juice size version.
I would love a wave sized electrician aimed tool
ОтветитьI don't understand, don't you take along the tools you need when you are on the job? The EDC is backup for when you don't have tools.
ОтветитьHello, Ben - good video! If these tools had not been discontinued, I would be proud to own them as is..I like the adjustments you proposed for these 2 tools...what do you think of a Leatherman tool for electricians similar to the Klein you reviewed a while ago...perhaps about the size of the Surge or the wave + with a pouch included? By the way, I believe the Klein tool has been discontinued by the company...
ОтветитьIf some random company on AliExpress make an ES4 clone it'll sell like CRAZY 👍
ОтветитьI use my squirt daily.
ОтветитьA real #2 #1 Phillips and flat. I never need a diamond file. Maybe even a t15 T25
ОтветитьThey should change this juice by replacing the bottle opener with an awl and adding a file .... great video!
ОтветитьAgreed with the idea 💡 I will definitely buy it! I have one of the small wire strippers and i love them!
ОтветитьI really liked Mr. Crunch since it not only brought something new and unique to the world of multitools, but actually brought to life an idea that was part of the original Leatherman tool prototype. I hope the rest of the Garage is more like Mr. Crunch than Darkside. The Garage should be used to make unique and innovative tools and not just a platform for limited special editions of existing multitools.
ОтветитьI had forgotten about the ES4 version. I have an E4 and an EL4, both with Radioshack trade dress on the "back" of the handles. The E4 and EL4 have a more or less 3D Phillips driver (P0) - does the ES4 not have that?
ОтветитьThe es3 was always one of my favorites. Unfortunately I lost both of the ones I owned due to the small size. A larger option would be cool! I’d still buy another though if they still made the originals.
ОтветитьFor an electrician centric multitool, what are your thoughts on the Bear & Son Bear Jaws 155EL? I've never read or heard any reviews of any of the Bear Jaws models, they seem to be overlooked, possibly for good reason.
ОтветитьLeatherman juice super tinker
ОтветитьI think that would be a great idea. I would buy it. I think if they put wire crimpers behind the pivot, similar to the crimpers on the Surge/ST300/Rebar, that would make it all the better. The juice would make a great frame for that idea. Maybe having an awl as well if that could be implemented???? Or at the very least a drop point blade.
Ответитьi have the E4, PS4 and the XE6. i prefer the curvy handle of the E4 than the straight handle of the P4. The sound generated when the tool / plier locked in place is so good
ОтветитьIs there another mini tool with the head like the squirt?
Ответитьyeah, I miss the ES4 as well
sadly no one has much use for one of these in today;s world
I still use mine but not often enough to EDC it
it lives in a micro-tool-kit I put together a while back
I believe the Squirt line has be discontinued... RIP...
only surviving is the Micra which started it all
