What keeps the pet from suffocating in the closed space, when using the privacy panel?

BTW, the word "IT" is for inanimate objects. Pets can be referred to as him or her, depending on Male/Female sex.

Just retuned from travelling with a King Charles Cavalier in a sleepypod. Calgary-Los Angeles-Miami. 9 hrs over two days then return. She absolutely loved her carrier. Especially thru the terminal with the door open so she could see the people and interact while she rode high on my roller bag. The ability to conform under the seat kept the FA happy as it didn't intrude into the foot space. I think this is a good product and worth the money.

I think the window pane is not optimal, it should be more transparent. My cat does not like it to be transported but when that takes place she is very curious and would like to see everything.

My dog can't fully stand in the sleepypod, which is a requirement for many airlines. It doesn't look like the dog in the video can either. Anyone had issues with airline agents?

Is this appropriate for long car rides? I am traveling with two dogs (12 lb and 14 lb) and am considering purchasing a couple, but I'm wondering if it's too cramped for long stretches of travel? (We'll be stopping for gas/bathroom breaks)

Hello all, I have seen how many people in different informational videos show and place taller small dogs - taller dog in a smaller carrier size - not being able to stand up - as per airline requirements - like in 30 videos. Yes, I too have been shopping around for a soft sided dog carrier and have seen and read too many inconsistencies as to how to measure your pet for the right crate and then these videos of pet literally only being able to stand up until the owner opens the top lid of the bag, otherwise the poor dog has to lay down until next time the lid is opened. Today I saw how the UK says to ignore pointy ears, in the past I have seen websites say to measure your dog from floor to head and then measure from floor to knee bone and then only use half of the leg measurement to determine the full height size??!!! I think that the last part - and base on what I’ve seen can only apply to soft sided carriers - because otherwise you would have to add 4 more inches to the original height to comply with the airline - stand up in kennel - requirements. So confused. I am stressing out big time. Has anybody had an airline tell you that your dog should have head room to stand up or have you actually been approved by the airline to buy a smaller size soft sided carrier than the pets size as it will be laying down the entire flight? Keep in mind that ai am talking about soft sided carriers. The hard kennels are a different thing and not an issue or part of this topic.

That poor dog, she/he is too big for that carrier, it is very clear that it barely fits, so i would say this carrier is only for TOY size dogs.

The part where you hook the carrier into the car seat is not the correct direction (you have it on its side so the dog would be thrown upside down!). The carrier is supposed to stay upright, with the seatbelts slipped through the latch covers on each side. The correct way is demonstrated on another manufacturer’s video featuring a man, with the same narration text as this video.

It's a shame that your carriers have absolutely no visibility along the sides for the dog to see forward, or see the human driving them around. Air circulation must be really restricted in there ?

That dog in the video seemed crammed into the carrier. I’m considering this carrier because of the quality and reputation of the company, (after a bad experience with another, expensive-but low quality carrier-my Houdini was somehow able to unzip one of the zippers far enough to get her precious self stuck halfway out 🙄). My concern is space. Although the flight itself is less than 3 hours, with the layover, it’s a total of 4+ for @Kitty_Leela to be scrunched up in a small carrier. My baby is about 17lbs, but looks a lot bigger with a thick undercoat and long orange hair. Anyone else with a kitty her size and experience traveling in this? We’re also going to be taking a VERY long road trip when we move in January. I’m planning on getting a large wire crate that will fill most of my daughter’s back seat-so we can put a small litter box in it. It’s going to be a 36-40 hour drive, if anyone has any other suggestions, I’m open to them! I actually thought about flying her in cargo down there and having my other daughter pick her up-to avoid putting her through the stress of 36+ hours in a car, finding a hotel for our 1 break, etc. then, I read several horror stories about people who did this & lost their fur-babies. Either way, I know it won’t be easy...

That dog would suffocate in there. That carrier is way too small for that dog.

In my Opinion this carrier seems a bit too small/ tight and theres no enough room for the animal to move around, looks a bit claustrophobic to me, and it can be easily mistaken for a regular bag which is not that good because someone may accidentally kick it with a dog or cat inside ..it would be a lot better if wecould actually see whats inside the carrier for the pets safety...

So... you have to put the carrier on it's side to belt in the car? That's seriously poor design. Sleepy Pod was one of the first safe carriers but now they've been surpassed by companies like Diggs because of poor design and high prices. Disappointing.
