I don't think you're making a mistake on Rodgers vs Wilson, like at all.

I'm not shocked that a 5'10" QB in his age 37 season, who was never a great post snap processor, who held the ball forever, & who no longer has the athleticism to escape like in his prime - has aged like milk on a hot day. I said a decade ago that Russ's game wasn't going to age well bc of his height, & honestly - I hate to kick a guy on his way out too. It just feels like Russ got very little blame for the collapse bc his box score stats were decent & off name value alone (the Bengals game skewed the perception of Russ last year significantly).

On the other hand: Rodgers is demanding of his WR's - Former Scout Nate Tice spoke about how poorly coached the WR room looked several times on his podcast last year. He said Zach Azzani has a track record of his WRs not being "detailed oriented". I'm sure that'll be a focal point for Rodgers this season. Rodgers also gets rid of the ball faster than the Steelers' OL time to average pressure last year (2.65 AR TT/2.8 OL TTP), & Rodgers's ability to see from the pocket will allow him to challenge the entire field. Mason is the only post Ben QB with the ability to do that, which got the extra safety out of the box/slowed down filling LBs.

I legitimately thought Mason was a significant upgrade over what Russ produced the last 2/3rd's of his starts, & I'm someone who thought signing Rodgers to start was a no brainer.

Rodgers will be more of the same.

Honestly, getting tired of the Russ hate. He was still a big reason why we had a winning record with an inefficient running game, a lack of weapons once Pickens was hurt, and not to mention a Defense that played subpar during the losing streak.

I get it that he isn't what he used to be but damn not cool kicking the guy on the way out.
I'm gonna miss him and Fields personally. Hopefully Russ plays well so the comp pick value goes up!

My dislike for him aside, I do hope Rodgers does well for the sake of Cam and others that deserve a ring but I will remain cautiously optimistic about him doing well for the team.

After watching Russ for a year....He is just too short and can't see

It should have been Mason last year, and maybe this year.

Russell Wilson's best asset is Ciara 🎉😂❤

Justin Fields is reliable for a quick ineffective read and fumble once per game.

If Rodgers can help us get off to better starts it would all be worth it.

My concern about Wilson was whether he would adapt. At first he did, but it didn't last and he went back to his ways. I have very little concern about Rodgers trending to his old ways. Rodger's arm can fire bullets to slants and drag routes all day and I'd take it over Russ or even Ben's last two years. Would prefer to hear stats separated between Russ and Fields...Justin Fields was coachable and it showed in time of possession, less time getting the ball out, and other areas.

I could be wrong but I believe Aaron Rogers will have better protection. The only real way to know is in actual games. I feel confident the team will be better this season. Thank you Matt, awesome stuff.

Everybody hung up on Firlds athleticism but dude couldn’t read tge defense. Remember how bad the offense was with him in. Defense won those early games and broke down by the end.

Russ couldn’t see over our blocking scheme. Or didn’t trust what he could see.

If Wilson was so bad, they should have put Fields back in. We could have evaluated him a lot more

Are you telling me that the reports we've been reading and hearing on this channel and others that Mike Tomlin was the sole member of the Steelers front office that wanted to keep Russell Wilson have all been lies?
