Thank you SO much for this video. 2 quick thoughts. As an Indian (not from Kashmir), I was struck by how amazed the bloggers were when they saw a masjid and heard the azan. The call of the azan is a common sound across ALL of India, not just Kashmir. Most Indians consider the sound to be a part of "normal" Indian city sounds, and no Indian, regardless of religion, would ever notice it as something surprising. This suggests to me that Pakistani media and government propaganda paints a picture of Muslim life in India that is VERY different from the Muslim reality. (I am NOT suggesting that there are no issues, there are, but far fewer than Pakistani media appears to suggest.) This raises the second point. I think that the BEST thing the 2 countries can do to achieve peace is to encourage MANY more cross border visits. Not just Kashmir, come visit the rest of India. Enjoy the friendship (yes, really), the food (we will compete with you for the best traditional Muslim dishes!), and the culture. With lots of love to my Pakistani brothers and sisters.
