Glad I found this page. I camped with a pop up in the 80's with parents and things have changed since then. I'm retired and getting an A-Frame type pop up so need all the maintenance tips possible. Saw you say to start generator and just run it for the reasons you gave. I bought a genie a few months after hurricane hit us in Tennessee. (No damage, just stranded, no electric or water. We got off easy) I got my genie in February and never ran it again. Went out today and started it for 15 minutes. Even though it's not in a camper, you probably saved me some future problems. Thanks.
ОтветитьGood info. I have a bus conversion so some is not relevant for me.
ОтветитьYou should mention that you should always run your generator under a load, like a small heater or the ac.
Otherwise I'm enjoying the videos. Most are common sense (which very few have these days)
I have a camper my refrigerator is hot outside but not cold in the refrigerator help please
ОтветитьOn the generator problem, regular gas with ethanol is the worst fuel you can use in it. I would guess more people use portable generators than having a built in model.
ОтветитьYour email is NOT working!!!
ОтветитьWe are doing a custom Super C on a Western Star 47X. We looked into problem areas and avoided as much as possible. No slides; no propane; all household appliances. All power is diesel/electric; no gasoline. Big alternator on engine; solar; generator if needed.
Your explanations are great.
AC unit the same way correct
ОтветитьEven with the air filter, those fins are still going to get dirty, and sooner or later they'll need cleaning.
ОтветитьI can't say I've heard of a tech recharging a frig cooling unit. Cooling units are usually replaced by removing the frig and removing the old one. guess there are all kinds of scammers out there....
ОтветитьA lot of those ac charging kits for vehicles that a diy person can buy have a sealant in them which causes all kinds of clogs and problems in those systems anyway. So still a bad idea in that case as well.
ОтветитьThem fuel pumps on those generators thooo 😵💫
ОтветитьJenny? My generators name is Frank.
!
I'm a soon be a new ever and I'm moving to Las Vegas in October, you just got a new subscriber 😁😎
ОтветитьThanks
ОтветитьGreat info Emily...
ОтветитьRV refrigerators are not rechargeable! The refrigerant is ammonia, because of this the whole unit has to be replaced or rebuilt.
ОтветитьGreat stuff!!!
Thank you!
You really do a great job!
ОтветитьI have heard of people turning their refrigerators upside down to redistribute the refrigerant. What are your thoughts?
ОтветитьWhat about propane generators
ОтветитьI enjoy your videos. I need to email you. We had the AC unit replaced on top of the Tracer camper, and since then, when using heat, the fan for ac comes on. Never did that before. The guy that replaces the unit has passed on. This was the Exact replacement.
ОтветитьMahalo for helping us prevent repair needs.
ОтветитьGreat info ! 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍 thank you
ОтветитьRemember the good old days when the awnings could be left out for sun AND rain? Everything is built like crap these days. It's a race to the bottom.
ОтветитьSo now that it had to sit for awhile, what next?
ОтветитьLove the channel. Ty
