Maybe because the winning couple only had two days on the show and not three, maybe their next day would have just been scheduled for the next Thursday, which is tomorrow, by the way, had he held out longer, or better yet, managed to survive. 35 is much too young! We'll all miss him.
ОтветитьJust when I was truly under the impression that he'd recover.
ОтветитьI heard the news, R.I.P Micheal, sorry you had to go too soon
ОтветитьHe died? I had no idea he passed away until I read these comments. That's crazy how this was his last upload. I am shocked and sad right now. I hope people start downloading and archiving all of his videos to be put on Dailymotion, Vimeo and the internet archive just in case this channel gets taken down. Especially the videos of all those GSN originals.
With that said, thank you Michael Tiller for the memories.
R.I.P Michael Tiller. I was wondering why he hadn’t uploaded for a while.
ОтветитьI hope somebody will upload gameshows episode in your honor
ОтветитьI have this channel copied, pasted, and it’s downloading as I post this comment!
ОтветитьEvery upload from the Game Show Temple Archives, that is.
ОтветитьIf something was removed for copyright, I don't know for certain, but I have a feeling it could have been an episode of Whammy The All New Press Your Luck, considering that it's a GSN original, which is owned by Sony, and I know that others as well as myself, expressed concern about that while Michael was still with us.
ОтветитьThankfully, I also have Scott and Pam Hostetler's second day on The $1,000,000 Chance of a Lifetime downloaded from The Fun & Games Channel from when it was still up. However it says on Chuck D's trading page that he has both of their days in his collection also. (He uploads on Dailymotion.)
ОтветитьThere's something else to admire about Michael Tiller. On top of the nice person he was, he also wasn't a doormat or a pushover. When he responded to certain comments or posted on Community, he'd put his foot down about people violating his rules, like no requests, no spamming, no spoilers, and if it got to the point with any certain user who had repeatedly violated one or another guideline of his, that he had to threaten to block the person, he didn't hold back. I wish I was a little bit more like that. It's not easy for me to say no at times, even though I know I'm capable of it.
ОтветитьShoot, I'm late to the news. Rightly or wrongly, Michael Tiller is the quintessential "tape trader" in my mind and these uploads have been such a treat. So sorry to hear of his untimely passing.
ОтветитьWe're almost at the one-year anniversary of the week that started off with Andrea & Michael Foster's run on the $1,000,000 Chance of a Lifetime, you know, their never-before-seen-available first two episodes plus a second copy of their third one.
ОтветитьTo be exact, this Tuesday through Wednesday will be it.
You see, years ago, I calculated by multiplying 52 times 7, which was 364, so a year is 52 weeks plus one day, except for leap years. Therefore, the same day of a year one year later will skip over one day, unless there is a leap day (February 29th) within the year range, then it'll skip over two days.
R.I.P Micheal Tiller
ОтветитьRIP Michael, you deserved better health and a longer life.😭
ОтветитьLast Video of Michael Tiller
ОтветитьToday is July 17, 2023. It was four years ago today that the Game Show Temple returned.😭
ОтветитьIt’s July 26th, six months, half a year since the tragedy.😭
ОтветитьI may or may not have said this already. While I knew Michael didn't accept requests, I was really looking forward to the time coming that he re-uploaded The $1,000,000 COAL Bob/Judith vs. Bobby/Diane, Larry/Mollie vs. Phil/Jean-Ann, and Donald/Kathi vs. Phillip/Barbara. I did ask Dave Heller of Game Show Island about his copies of those first two when he was doing that tribute to Michael right after his death, and he said he knew of a trader of his, without naming him, who traded with him for the two. He couldn't give me a time, but he said he may be able to obtain them by trading with whoever it was.
ОтветитьThe loss of Michael Tiller is a double edged sword. On one hand, you lose out on any future uploads (remember to acquire these using, um, not legal means to preserve them), but on the other hand, he was a corrupt moderating asshole that was too stupid to NOT turn OFF the comment boards!
I hope he's down "there" with "Hit", and "Reag"!
So, the only way to see the Margaret Thatcher segment from Password Plus is to astral project, or pass away and time travel back to the live recording. Too bad.
ОтветитьI’ll miss you Michael Tiller
ОтветитьMan nothing like seeing three great emcees in one half hour
ОтветитьOkay, I just had a thought today, after being greatly angered and upset by something I read on Quora. It may sound dark, but those of you who know what Quora can be like, you’ll understand, it’s for therapy.
There’s a certain user/answerer there who labels whole generations of people, plus had the nerve to end one of her answers with, “I guarantee you, your kid is a little a**hole.” Really, b***h?!
What I’m getting at is that her latest answer says, “5y,” next to it, meaning she hasn’t answered any questions in at least 5 years. For all we know, she could be dead, too. But unlike Michael Tiller, I can’t imagine any web surfers who didn’t know her personally would miss her at all.
Okay, I said it, but I had to. Some people on Quora are infuriating.😡
RIP, Michael. You and David Downs should still be with us, and Quora should be dead with Yahoo Answers!
ОтветитьDed chat XD
ОтветитьPeople, I hope this lawsuit is almost over. When we lost Michael, I'm certain his IA channel had 708 uploads, and I noticed it only had 707 when this lawsuit started. Now it's down to 706. I hope another 90 days can pass before such time they'll have to remove another.
ОтветитьWell, today would be Mr. Tiller’s 36th birthday.
RIP, Michael, and prayers for all those close to you.😭
You know, exactly three weeks from today will be the one year anniversary of this very last upload of Michael's.😭
ОтветитьDid anyone trade with Michael for his copy of The $1 Million Chance of a Lifetime Donald/Kathi vs. Phillip/Barbara?
ОтветитьWell, it's already been a whole year since we lost Michael.
ОтветитьAnd today, this very last upload of his is a year old. RIP, Michael.😭
I really maintain hope that someone else will eventually re-upload his $1 Million COAL episode copies of Bob/Judith vs. Bobby/Diane, Larry/Mollie vs. Phil/Jean-Ann, and Donald/Kathi vs. Phillip/Barbara. (All three of these were 100% watchable despite the tracking faults and shaky picture and were commercial-free.)
Please upload Merv Griffins crosswords Peter vs Monica
ОтветитьI can’t wait to join the trading community.
ОтветитьHere’s something else. On Michael’s very first channel his copy of The $1 Million Chance of a Lifetime Bob/Judith vs. Bobby/Diane, as I’ve described it, didn’t play all the way to the end to show the Lorimar Telepictures bumper. On his return channel, with the same copy, he made the improvement of changing that. It must have had that the first time, but maybe he cut it off for the sake of time on his first channel and when he re-opened he’d learned that he didn’t need to do that which would probably explain why it had that difference on his return channel. The point is, when, not if, it either gets re-uploaded by another user or I receive it in a future trade I will want it to have the same improvement of playing all the way to the LT bumper like it did on Michael’s return channel.
Again, it had tracking faults and shaky picture but was still by all means watchable and commercial-free.
I watched your videos for the first time in 2006. It's safe to say that We all miss you.
ОтветитьI tell you, I waited very patiently for almost two years for those MDCOAL episode copies from Michael’s collection to be re-uploaded to this channel, but I knew he didn’t take requests, so all I could do was yearn and wait, but we lost him, which is bad enough, I made a life out of checking to see what the upload of the day was, and for a short-lived while, the two uploads, the GST (Archives) was a treasured game show channel among many others, but those three from his last channel never got posted before the tragedy. Don’t get me wrong, there were some great episodes of that show uploaded on this channel, which I have captured, most of all his original copy of Andrea & Michael Foster’s win followed by the pleasant surprise of Michael announcing that he was going to search for their first two episodes and when the trade was completed he also received a second copy of their third one that started from the beginning. And I’m glad he still left his first copy up because they were each for a different purpose. His original copy was from the random process and the second one was for a special reason. And everything available so far I have saved by 4K, but speaking of multiple copies, I still consider his of Bob & Judith’s and Larry & Mollie’s third days important even though the episodes themselves are available elsewhere, and yes, saved too, just not the same way he had them. Plus his copy of Donald/Kathi vs. Phillip/Barbara which is actually the only copy I’ve ever seen of that episode available on the web anyway. Now there is another I hope to find again, but it’s not in Michael’s collection, it wasn’t on the Game Show Temple when it was available. That would be Rick & Rita vs. Richard & Pat.
ОтветитьPlus, he had one more episode of Secrets of the Crypt Keeper’s Haunted House that was on his last channel but never got re-uploaded either.
