PEACE On Earth (Live Studio Version)

In 2024, I took Peace on Earth to Flowers Studio, a Minneapolis landmark that’s cradled records from Low, Bon Iver, and now—me. No effects, no edits—just one mic, one piano, and the song as it was written. Peace on Earth isn’t new, but it keeps changing shape depending on the state of the world—or the room I play it in. That day, it sounded quiet but certain, like it had something to say without shouting. I’d just come off The Goth Songbook at The Parkway and was prepping Magic Time for next summer. This performance wasn’t part of a campaign or promo. It was a moment I wanted to preserve—just the music, no noise. The light in the room, the breath between notes, the wood grain in the walls—it’s all there.
