Wow this is a good video! deserves more views! Thanks for the tips on memorizing the ingredients!
ОтветитьThanks for the kind words @mams66! Feel free to share if you'd like to get the word out!
ОтветитьWhat is the last thing that is put into the drink? I know the hint is meant to be obvious but it goes straight over my head. Apart from that very entertaining and helpful video as always, best videos to learn cocktails from for sure.
ОтветитьHahaha, sorry about that, I didn't exactly specifically say that it was Sweet and Sour did I (the intention of my sweet and sour sauce reference). So again, 1/2 oz blue curacao, 1/2 oz (I actually usually put 1 full oz) malibu rum, fill equal parts pineapple juice and sweet and sour. Hope that clears it up! :)
ОтветитьYes, your right, this IS a blue hawaiian! The WORKING BARTENDER version. I'd say 99.9% of bars WON'T have creme de coconut, hence the COCONUT flavored rum here. Original Blue Hawaiian was made with fresh lemon/lime juice back before there was such a thing as sweet and sour...now bars have sweet and sour and use it in many drinks that originally had L/L juices. All in all it doesn't really matter, if bars have this thing its usually a "signature" drink and they'll adapt it how they want it anyway
Ответитьwoudlnt a more appropriate garnish be a slice of pineapple, or did you use a cherry cause most bars would have that and some may not have pineapple
ОтветитьIt could be...just like you said, it all depends on the bar your working at.
ОтветитьYep. That's pretty much the case with any drink in any bar...
ОтветитьI add ice first, then the orange juice, malibu rum, pineapple juice & then slowly add the Blue....looks way prettier as the bottom is yellow, the middle is green and the top of the drink is blue! ;)
ОтветитьDefinitely layer for effect if you have time...but if you're busy just get it out asap!
Ответитьin the 80's blue hawaiian = rum, blue curacao and pineapple, Malibu wasn't even invented yet
ОтветитьThis is such a fun and yummy drink
Ответитьthis is awesome man, thank you!!!
ОтветитьAh, the good 'ole days, right? ;)
ОтветитьYou're welcome!!
Ответитьwhat does the stone and sour consist of? By the way i admire you a lot!
ОтветитьI get this question a lot...I should make a video about it. sweet and sour is the basic "mix" that is on bar guns. It's basically manufactured LIME-aid, like lemonade but limeade. Sweet and sugary, it goes in a ton of drinks. :)
ОтветитьHey man, love your videos. I have a questions, how come you didn't put the drink in the hurricane glass?
ОтветитьGreat vid and explanation
Ответитьi got to learn a lot of drinks and your videos by far are great to help me remember but i thought 1oz of coconut cream was in this drink along side the vodka or coconut rum, pinapple juice and blue curacao
ОтветитьBro is this Dennis from Its Always Sunny in Philadelphia?
