Ash would of made a special connection to Frigibax it would of followed him for 5 episodes then ash would if catched it 10 episodes later relished it when he fully evolved it 😂😂😂

That's one of my biggest problems with Pokémon Horizon, NOBODY IS CATCHING POKEMON AND WE'RE OVER 60 EPISODES IN!

I would not count Frigibax out just yet, there have been times when pokes come back in later episodes to be captured, take Ash's Sandile, that thing took multiple episodes til it joined Ash....
Also this isn't Ash or Goh, Ash doesn't throw a ball willy nilly unless he wants to bond with a pokemon. Goh would have, then forgotten he caught that pokemon, cause he was a ball whore....

Sadly this how the anime has always been look how many pokemon Ash should have and in the final season they gave us 4 of the pokemon one of them he did gave aways in the early seasons of the anime. The only pokemon Ash did not get this time around in the final season was the starters normally he get 1 or 2 maybe all 3 but this time he did not get any of them.

Seriously when are these kids gonna get a 3rd mon. They'll need that for if they take on a 3x3 battle.

Early ash would have caught them. Late ash no. For a series that the slogan is gotta catch'em all they really do not. I mean there were generationa ash caught less than a dozen pokemon. Gen 1 he caught the most and came nowhere close since.

Well, to be fair, they are currently in their terrastal exam arc, which only allows for 2 Pokémon to be used. The writers probably thought that catching a new Pokémon would be pointless if it's not going to be featured properly in the arc, or take away from their first 2 Pokémon.

Considering the main premise of Horizons is Liko and co travelling around the Pokemon world, theyre probably waiting till they go to another region to catch more Pokemon. I mean Liko caught her Hatenna in Galar.

When you really think about it, the Alola Gang technically have it the same way, albeit not counting Gladion (who has 5).
Lillie, Mallow, and Lana have only one mon.
Sophocles has two.
Kiawe’s technically got the most with 3, but his Charizard was more of a Ride Pokemon than a battler so really he only had 2.

Maybe these Pokemon were overleveled and most likely will not obey after they get all gym badges
