Amazing comparison!
ОтветитьI've used a lot of Sony gear before I used Fuji X gear. I hated Sony colors. Hated the ARW files.Loved the fast AF, the dynamic range of the files so I could shoot in low light. The design of the camera is kind of boring, and I prefer the ergonomics of the Fuji X series. Love the Fuji film simulations, though I have always been a RAW shooter. I come from film back in the late 1960s. I've used every brand, every film size camera over the years. Sony & Fuji are the innovators, with Sony sensors being dominant. Sony makes functional gear with loads of features. I never found either Fuji or Sony menus to be hard. I'll leave that award to my Olympus Pen F system. Olympus makes the most confusing menus...BLOATED...BUT...they have the best IBIS. I've tried them all. Panasonic G9 is lovely as is GH5 series for video. Sony is a wonderful improvement on so many thing accept the IBIS. Once they get that, Sony will be King. Sony is also annoying. They are constantly puking out more models and it gets ridiculous. i would rather they get it right first, then release the product. No more BETA. The NEX/A6000 series come to mind. Constant releases, incremental improvements that are not enough IMO to bother making another model like it. Fuji is also now doing this. Love the Fuji X-T series cameras, the X100 series is lovely though fixed. Loads of dynamic range to play with, but not as much as full frame. APS-C or cropped sensor cameras are great for wildlife, birds, adventure travel, travel, professional work and more. Heck even MFT is still that. I know people making money still using those Olympus OMD-Mk1 cameras! I love the JPEG colors and Monochromes coming out of the Olympus cameras. The lenses are lovely and the micro details are sharp and the file doesn't fall apart in low ISO. Most people have moved on and are chasing the full frame or medium format. And once they do, they immediately bash what they used to own. It's ignorant and incorrect.
The Fuji X series produces lovely shots, but I wish Fuji would DUMP the XTRANS sensor and just use Bayer. The medium format cameras are like that and I prefer it. I still don't like the wormy/waxy effect in files. Also, the AF isn't as good as Sony, but it is now getting better. The X-T4 should be a lovely camera when it comes out. So, all this gear is wonderful and will do any job needed with the right lenses and talent behind them. There are reasons for loving each brand, and reasons for hating them. No camera is perfect, and that's purposely done to keep you coming back wanting for more. I see it has worked. Most people don't print large enough to warrant even Micro four thirds gear, let alone Full Frame. Many people need full frame for the extra crop factor. Again, most people waste money on things they don't need though. I don't care what you use, but hating someone who uses Sony VS Fuji is a waste of time and energy. Professionals use all types of gear and if it works, they don't care what it is...which means they use many brands.
I used Sigma DP Merrell cameras for years with a Foveon Sensor. Most people dismissed these cameras because they were a pain to use, but the pictures had the most distant details I've ever seen from any camera except medium format . But you will have people arguing about this. Foveon files have more distant details than Sony files. So, now where does that leave Sony, Fuji, etc. My point is, though the Sony doesn't have as much distant details, it is the way the whole package works that draws people to that camera. Everyone wants big sensors and more features to the point where it's become ridiculous.
Imagine if fuji announce their fullframe camera
ОтветитьHi! Wich one better
ОтветитьHow does the new Fuji Xt4
Ответитьossam review I like your video very nice camera fujifilmxt3
Ответитьyou can use ISO 3200, 6400, 12800 or higher on APS-C without problem, it just depends on the situation,
they always say, look so many noise, but they always zoom in at 100% on the picture, if you just watch the picture without cropping or zooming, there is no problem. And if there is a lot of noise, turn the picture black and white and it looks fine.
does Sony A6500 vs Fuji X-T3 a better match up? In the end A7 iii is still a full frame
ОтветитьAnyone else's OCD also kicked in when he was holding the camera outdoors without the cap on?
Ответитьthat's not how u hold a fuji camera
ОтветитьHello my friend.
ОтветитьExcellent comparison, sir! I have a question...I have zero experience with Sony, and have been a Fujifilm-X shooter for about 8 years, first with an X-Pro1. My main interest is obtaining the sharpest, most detail-rich images as possible, given the constraints of time and funds. As a landscape and product STILLS X-T3 shooter (no video), lately I feel like I've gotten the most out of the APS-C format, hence I have been debating on selling my Fuji kit (reluctantly), and moving into FF, specifically the Sony a7Rlll and lenses like the Sony 16-35 f/2.8 GM, Sony FE 55 f/2.8, and the 90mm f/2.8 G Macro . Since I shoot 99% tripod-mounted, neither IBIS nor video interests me. So, my question is, for large print output (around 24"x 36" prints), how much of an improvement in terms of image sharpness, detail rendition, dynamic range, base ISO performance, etc., would I see over the already excellent X-T3 (combined with the ultra-sharp Fujinon XF80mm f/2.8 Macro lens), when using the a7Rlll and the Sony 90mm f/2.8 G Macro or Sony 16-35 f/4 tripod-mounted? Thank you.
ОтветитьThank you so much for this!!! I bought the Fuji and before it even arrived I was disappointed that it wasn't full frame. My plan was to send it right back and get the sony.. but after your video I might have made the right decision.. I'm too new to know what is best!! But I feel slightly confident about the fuji now... THANK YOU! i will consult adorama tomorrow and some friends to figure it out! Am I missing too much without full frame? If not.. i think the Fuji might be perfect and I can keep the camera that arrived today!!!! THANK YOU!
ОтветитьIt's 2020 and still can't afford any of them!
Ответитьfujifilm xt3 - vs sony a7 iii ??? best for video ??
ОтветитьFuji xt3 is the way to go or the xt4
ОтветитьAre you going to get your hands on the X-T4 anytime soon?
ОтветитьBoth are on my to buy list.
ОтветитьThe sony is 800€ more expensive, Fuji won, easy
Ответить1.5 years later what also comes into play is the increasingly huge price difference. I can get an X-T3 for just over 1000€, while an A7III still costs around 1750€.
Ответитьvery good comparison, thank you!
ОтветитьI'm so late on this, but really debating the Sony a7iii, Nikon z6 or the Fuji XT3. I mainly travel and do portraits recreationally but please Hybrid Shooter, steer me in the right direction!
ОтветитьSony الأفضل بلا منازع
ОтветитьI’ve owned and shot tons of footage with both. I sold my a7iii and bought an x-t3 because I hated how poorly the a7iii handled and rendered color. 8 bit with Sony color science made me walk away. The a7siii looks promising, since you have way more control over color now.
ОтветитьVery nice work thank you 😊
Ответитьextremely useful!
ОтветитьThanks for your work
ОтветитьCurrently selling my Sony and switching to Fuji. Cant get over the fact Sony has no half press shutter button, Fuji film simulations are great and fun and Fuji community seems to be way more supportive and colllab.. great review!
ОтветитьFor me - XT3 feels like a camera. A7III feels like a computer. Fuji shooting experience feels simply better...
Ответитьsony battery is horrible, imagine having worst. edit: o right I have a older gen...
ОтветитьI am confusing between Fuji XT3 and Sony A7 III. What is your advice?
Ответитьi'm from vietnam, the video is very sharp, i love it! 🙃🙃🙃
ОтветитьWell Fuji is a Crop and Sony is Full. Everyone knows that the larger the sensor the better the result, more information enters, more light and more space between pixels.
ОтветитьLove this video. Again great quality, and answers all our questions.
Ответитьfor the price of a used a7iii you could get a xt3 and a very nice lens
ОтветитьZ5 vs xt3
Which has the best lowlight and high iso performence??
Please compare
Does the fujifilm xt30 is better than the canon 90d?
ОтветитьRespect to the Sony, but I own a XT3 and the dials, cool looks , Fuji colours and tactile feel I won’t want to move to full frame to be honest ..
Ответитьtbh the most important aspect of a camera imo is wanting to go out and shoot on it, shooting experience is just as important as the specs
ОтветитьGreat video well detailed. Is there a recording limit
ОтветитьDo you still own a Fujifilm camera? And how do you feel about this comparison nowadays?
ОтветитьFun fact : both sensors made by Sony
Ответитьadjust your white balance... i beg you
ОтветитьFuji xt3 120fps 200mbps 10bit 🤯
Sony a73 120fps 100mbps 8bit 😞
I have the a7iii and I'm considering getting the XT-3. I'm retiring (from wedding video) in a few months and the Sony isn't really fun to shoot anymore. I do still need a good / decent video camera since I still have 5 weddings.
Can the Fuji write across both SD cards? Backup.
Which one is better!?
ОтветитьLove your reviews, thank you so much.
ОтветитьAm si sony dar xt3 oferă o altă abordare a filmarii...ca sa nu mai vorbim de film simulation
Ответить
