November continues a lot of visible progress on the site as the structure rises back up from the depths of the excavation.
Basement construction on the north part of the property has progressed well during this time. Grade beams to interconnect the caisson caps have been formed and have been poured full of concrete. The below slab structure was backfilled and then covered with the basement slab that will be the actual basement floor.
Looking ahead, the vertical structure is being formed as construction approaches grade level. Shotcrete will be used to form the walls around the basement during the first half of December. A tent will be erected over the tunnels to maintain heat as the TTC undertakes the tunnel remediation work.
The rebar for the vertical columns are being placed and will be formed before they are poured. This all is happening over the course of December.
