FFXIV Endwalker Job Tier List

Nubkeks, now that you seen fresh progression on a fresh expansion, was curious what your take is the on item level (gear) progression system FF14 uses.

Yes, my job is in the S tier (bard) 😀 Now I have to learn the whole spell rotation since I leaved the game for many months and I’m just coming back to the game 😅 But it’s comforting me that at the beginning, I made the right choice 👌🏻

SMN brings group heal, plus raid wide damage buff...

How tf are you going to put ninja in C by itself, when dancer is so low even on the rdps scale. Ninja personal dps isn’t the best but it definitely isn’t the worst.

Black mage is an undisputed A tier job, but I agree with the rest.

We should never measure tanks by DPS. By far the weakest tank is Dark knight..bring one through a dungeon and compare to the other tanks and you will understand. Ironically is a good OT in hard content..but a no no for running roulettes.

astro has a great mp management kit. i barely get to half of my mp and keep my party topped off

Gun breakers have a 900 potency self heal when under half (or 20 seconds prepared ahead), and 200 potency 18s hot that gets 2 stacks. It's much improved in that sense from Shadowbringer

The PLD is being made to be a solid OT which is fine, but as I've been saying for years now and will keep saying it, give the PLD back their rez. They are the utility tank but lack the last bit of utiltity a rez.

I wish content creators would stop making tier list like this, it's giving new players a bad misconception in terms of viability. This isn't wow where balance is a nightmare, this is FF14 when the devs actually play the game and take pride in Balancing jobs.

As a strictly dps raid tier list this is pretty close. In dungeons this tier list wouldn't be right. Best tank would be war because of all 3 roles in one and worst tank is dk. Dps melee is reaper and healer just depends. I've seen God tier sages and crap ones too.

For amount of sh*t GNB has to go to just be decent - it's kidna sad DK can do more damage with easier rotation.

Having dancer On the same line as anything else is so dumb. The utility they bring is worth nothing when bard brings similar kits. And their personal and relative dps does not hold up in any competitive environment.
Yes. All classes are viable. But so shun ninja so low when they bring decent damage amazing raid cds is crazy. But have dancer so high for what? A defensive cd and dance partner?

DRK in the A tier is a surprise. I like DRK for sure it's my fav class but it feels bad defensively.

Paladin is S tier.

Best grp so far I would say is GNB DRK - RPR MNK RDM BRD - SCH AST. Buffs are needed for Ninja, Dancer, Machinist and Paladin, also arguably SMN needs something to distinguish itself because at the moment there is no reason not to prefer a RDM. Either another utility or better potency.

Sage is horrible, just sayin'.

You looked at the statistics but didn't really work out why some numbers might be what they are, and then ranked the jobs on those numbers. Not a good video unfortunately.

Scholar got used Hard in savage first week but most of them switched to SGE 1 week later

Imagine spending more time counting abstract numbers then to actually play the game.. The differences are so small its just silly that people even pay attention it. Play the classes you enjoy, have fun! Be a source of positive vibes instead of constantly comparing who is best this best that... Grow up..

I haven't played Endwalker, but watched a couple vids. For SMN wouldn't it be better to have three crystals to summon any of the Egis? Like you can summon Ifrit three times for maxing single target damage.

Have Titan for AOE but have it give shields to the X number of party members in range (or lowest HP). Then Garuda for AOE with high potency, or lower potency but have it heal X party members in range (or lowest HP). Just thinking that it must feel kinda bad to be forced to pop Titan and Garuda on a single target.

What do the SMN players feel about the current rotation? What could push it to S-Rank besides more potency.

gunbreaker has tons of self healing now. Wars are stupid powerful now, easy S tier.

you have not played warrior then really? xD its survivability way outclasses any of the other tanks, dungeons you don't even need a healer for you can take 4 dps, and heal them too! also its bloodwhetting is a (bloodbath, Shield and 20% mitigation) on a 25 sec CD. I took less damage than my GB co tank and I am the main tank using my whole kit. so I Think mitigation is also best on Warrior. so yeah putting GB above War is kinda biased and wrong, only advantage it has is more damage really and thats it xD

I would argue that the tank damage is all close enough that I don’t think it is really the distinguishing factor in ranking them. In terms of being able to survive and mitigate damage which of course is the tanks primary purpose, I would say that WAR, PLD, and GNB are all neck and neck, maybe with a slight edge to WAR, and DRK would be bring up the rear by a little bit. They all get the job done though

How does MCH rank higher than NIN?

This tier list is close but currently monk is actually beating out reaper and dancer is way lower than both bard and even machinist, dancer belongs in C with Ninja. Also paladin should be C as well, too low dps compared to other tanks similar to dancer.

Rating tanks based on damage is an omegalul in my book.

I've saved a whole fight as RDM before. Full party, 8 members, everyone but me and a dragoon died. He came on clutch holding the boss while I rezzed every single person in the party. It was stressful, but I got like all the coms at the end, and we beat the boss. I can't rightly remember what it was we were doing. I think it was a raid, but I can't be sure it was so long ago

Not a word said about why Sage sits where it does, or about Sage in general. Haha. Not that I play heals just been curious about that particular job lately and how it performs.

Just remember, all jobs can clear all content, and playing a class you are comfortable with and enjoy will always be more dps than a job you aren't comfortable with and don't enjoy

healers and tanks at this point in time are all mostly incredibly balanced.

these tier lists are always very typically the same and by that its usually "well dancer doesnt do damage and reaper does a shit ton" like of course because they gave reaper a shit ton of potency with no restrictions and refuse to let dancers actually have good damage bc their utility is good.. meanwhile red mage rezs.. i swear square picks and chooses what they want to be broken cough warrior mains

Glad to see I accidentally chose a really solid dps as my first (and currently only!) job. i picked monk because beating up monsters with my own two fists sounded fun, and I'm a weeb so the whole chakra thing seemed interesting. Now that they did a rework of the class and make chakra available earlier/streamlined a lot of their rotations (by removing the positional requirements and overall buffing the base damage), it's so much more fun to play, and it seems they shot up pretty far in terms of the dps and utility they bring to the table
