ОтветитьI think it would be more practical if the video operationalized the term meditator in each of the studies cited. Thus, for how long did people meditate. frequency and what kind of meditation etc. was used in those scientific citations. Now, it's just meditator vs non-meditator, but I don't actually know for how long I should meditate to gain those benefits. I can imagine that many of the studies used different lengths of meditations and forms as well. Maybe not all benefits are applicable to meditation in general?

For anyone who happens to read this comment; Cardio gives similar benefits to aging, anxiety, and ability to learn. It's so effective, i'd argue it's better than meditation (if you had to pick one), so best to do both meditation and cardio :)
Even just a few 5 minute sessions a day breathing in nature is helpful. I pray/meditate morning and night, lately I have started doing mid day meditations for 5 - 10 minutes preferrably in nature. My morning and night sessions I play music kneel and stand to pray. These little sessions are certainly beneficial!!!

And you have to choose what type of meditation you need at the moment. This is important to achieve the greatest benefit of meditation. This is well described on the Practical Health channel.

Ответитьthis is not news this is all just common sense. take fear for example. if fear is not useful to you then the brain will atrophy in that area simply because its not used. right?
Ответитьthe aging thing is not related to meditation specifically more then likely. its simply the result of a human that has no or very little stress. no or low stress means much less or none of the hormones that are related to stress and these are the things that make one age faster. an example would be cortisol. right?
Ответитьpain is not real. it is created by the mind. i feel like turning pain off is fairly simple. i probably feel that way because i have been able to do this ever since i was a child. there are some types of pain that i cannot do this with though, an example of pain that i cant seem to turn off is tooth pain caused by the nerves being exposed.

ОтветитьMeditation ist not Meditation!!! ..?! Most people understand under Meditation to sit breath mostly calm and watch thoughts passing. BUT TRUELY this isnt Meditation.. Meditation is.. and now read carefully the tation which means Something Like Action of medi = middle (in between) And now dont get confused, is's true that Meditation somehow is the Action of not acting.(In sence of external actions) BUT the true Essence ist about the medi so middle Thing. If you are conscious and Act this IS the one part. The other side IS the unconscious which lays INSIDE you. While Meditation you slowly Stop the consciousness to produce thoughts by your mind. At the same time you Swift to another brainstate. From wake to Trance. Finally If you achieve Meditation you are for this Moment in a Point of consciousness between These both. You are wake enough to observe BUT kind of tired of active think. In the same Hand your subconsciousness IS Open and do the active part while you are watching. The both parts of consciousness Switch in their Style. With other words you dont create through subconsciousness and experience with consciousness but the other way round. Then your inner world IS the normal while you watch from outside to the INSIDE. Hope you got the Point. My english isnt good and I only experience this Kind of experience 3 Times. One time I achieved IT while going in to a cave near my House taped ears and eyes and restet for 24 hours in a Box Like These dead people get put in.. this all helped me to get Ruf of external Things while Focus to the inner world. Also ist Kind of archetypical to Go in a cave or lay in the Box thinking about death.. dont know... I Just want to share my experience with all which can use Them. Take the good and through the Rest.
