I’ve also been committing to the Palkia + Area Zero archetype. Though I’ve been experimenting with Accompanying Flute as a disruption card and a way to buff Palkia’s damage output by forcing Pokemon on your opponents bench. This has been extremely helpful in the Lugia match up in particular because you can force bench locked the Lugia player and prevent them from using Summoning Star to get Archeops (assuming they aren’t running something like Wellspring Ogerpon)

My list is very similar, I ended up cutting the Bibs line for Lum and Mew for consistency and easier pivoting. Also included a Thorton for an Iono. Also personally prefer stretchers over super rod. Being able to set up a second Palkia Vstar mid or late game is bananas!!!

I really love this archetype and I've been punishing my league who had been heavy on garde again and not respecting the rad ninja.

Also adding a lightning and working in a Crispin recipe has won me some games. Being able to lock the board against Bolt or Miraidon is funny!

Energy switch just seems too good not to play in these palkia trumpet decks

I like Kieran for another way to get big knock outs but also a switch against stall and terapagos trap

There was a 12th place list at the Joinville Regional that made space for a Crispin with a single lightning energy to use the second attack from Pagos. Do you think that is worth making space for? Thanks for the vid, great content!

I won a cup with your original pre-release list with lightning. Also ended up cutting the lightning, but I went for fish briar over bibarel. You deserve props for the 3 fan Rotom+ double poffin innovation. Seems counter intuitive, but it makes refilling the bench after a board wipe SO much easier. Also really good explanation of the hard to make irida cut. I’d love to see some games where bibarel proves itself over lumineon. Great work! Also “wtf is chewter” is the best meme I’ve ever seen
