Chris Rufo's War Against Woke Institutions

Anyone who's ever been to a US national park knows how horrible the "woke" ideas were when these parks were created. Rather than let capitalists commercially develop Yosemite, Grand Tetons, The Grand Canyon, Glacier Nat'l Park, etc., the "woke" fools of that time intervened and Congress protected those areas. We can just hear the blabbing of "woke" activists like John Muir go on and on about how these national treasures should be preserved. Even "woke" president Teddy Roosevelt used his power to force his "woke" agenda on eager capitalist developers. So, never forget just how dangerous the "woke" agenda is. We cannot make these same mistakes again. Praise! Glory!

When is someone going to finally acknowledge that slavery was bad but not THAT bad. We all know the bad parts of slavery. We should never had done that. But I dare anyone to come up with two lists: (1) what atrocities are worse in human history, and (2) what are the positive outcomes of slavery for the slaves and their descendants? Only then can we have a real dialogue on this issue. When someone raises their side of an issue to a point of infinity, there is no way a discussion can be had.

Stand up for what you believe in without violence or silencing your opponents. Since woke ideology is a religious stance, based on non-historical theories about history, and unscientific theories about sex and gender...why can't their religion be likewise banned from publicaly funded schools?

Crux: Religious doctrine has no quarter in tax finded educational facilities.
They can be taught about in social studies class...but can not be preached as truth in any classroom...like a science class or a sex education class.

Rufo isnt anti-woke. He is just woke for other things. He has no interest in viewpoint diversity or open inquiry but just using education to push his values.

The reason why folks are so afraid of woke awareness is that they will wind up being treated like they have been treating everybody else.

Companies exist to provide goods and services to their customers, and to make money from that process. Period. Everything else is just a distraction. Hire any applicant that has the necessary skills and talent, concentrate on the business, and leave politics out of it. They shouldn’t be pushing any political agenda. That’s not what they are there for.

While I agree with school choice, John misses the point: The government CAN mandate what is being taught in schools because they regulate and fund them. We need not only school choice, but to get government out of education entirely. Education shouldn't be funded anymore than skydiving.

The overwhelming majority of parents can't even raise their own kids without the government's help, i.e. public school. How pathetic is that? Don't have kids unless you're in a position to homeschool them without the government's help (in my state, if you accept the help they offer, they still own you). Pool your resources with other parents.

American public schools should teach the basics of American ideas, as well as basic academic subjects. It's not wrong to say public schools should not teach ideas that are destructive of appreciation for America and the things America stands for. These are grade schools. These are not adults. Adults are free to study whatever they want.

Some things should be banned from being taught at universities. This is not a free speech issue. It is a standards issue. We wouldn't want Creationism being taught at universities as if it was science, so why would we allow Critical Race Theory or Gender ideology being taught as if it wasn't anything other then pseudoscience?
