Are GTA 6 Cars Being Ported to GTA Online?

I think it's important to remember that there's always a design concept phase prior to any 3D modeling, and obviously GTA 6 has been a major factor if not outright the priority in that phase for every vehicle they've created over the past few years. I don't think they're designed for Online and ported forward, I think they're designed for VI and occasionally deemed fit for Online as well (in the context of normal civilian vehicles, mind you; obviously there are still examples of unique vehicles designed to fulfill specific roles in GTAO). Once the concept is finalized and the modeling begins, it proceeds until reaching a fork in the road where it's sent to separate teams, one implementing vehicles in VI, and another doing so in GTAO. This explains why we've seen a lot of minor issues in the past couple years like the Aleutian's flipped daytime running light, the Paragon S and Dorado's missing exhausts, the Asterope GZ's missing suspension options and duplicated bumper, etc. My guess is, they have the more experienced devs on the VI team and the less experienced relegated to the Online team. It's also why we see generic recycled interiors still being used - that aforementioned fork probably happens when the exterior is mostly finished, but without any internals. That's all just my personal theory, but I simply cannot imagine that they're still designing for Online first and foremost, and VI as a second thought. It makes far more sense to prioritize the newer game in all avenues of development.

I noticed that there were a lot more NPCs in Online lately especially at nighttime. It was on the beach and near the gang area of Del Perro.

rockstar proved my point again, i said they should stop adding stuff to gta online because they will run out of surprises for gta 6, look.

It is possible, Yes GTA 6 will definitely use different updated texture types than old GTA 5, but it's possible that Rockstar will bake the GTA 6 texture so that it can be ported to GTA Online standard. There is still work to be done to downgrade it, but it's not that much work compared to making it from scratch.

Yes they are and have been doing it for a while, the Gauntlet interceptor was featured in the GTA VI trailer and later released in gta online

I’d hope so. If none of the dlc cars dropped over the years aren’t common traffic big goof by them. The trailer makes it look like it but I’m not trusting it yet. Expectations low

and why are we calling them gta6 cars?? if they are released in online then they are most likely wouldn't show up in the game on launch. this is why they reuse old material.

The cars we buy for millions now will just be regular street cars in gta 6

Actually what the normal process for something like this would be is to build a very high quality car model with a very high quality interior, etc.

Then two different artists/teams take that vehicle and downscale it to their respective games. Doing it that way means the customization options are likely to wildly vary.

They are in a unique position with GTA O > 6 in that from all understanding, they take place in the same timeframe. That's not common for GTA games.

Unlike past games where cars changing looks with the times made sense, here, there's no reason for that. You'll want some consistency.

To be fair, we did see the Jubilee with an updated interior in the 6 trailer. I think they’re made for 5 with the expectation they’re being remade into 6, anyway

I hope they don't release all of the gta 6 cars like the pmp600. Keep that for gta 6.

Short answer: Theyre not. its too difficult and complicated to do it this way.

My most wanted wish is that Rockstar treats PC as next gen instead of last gen because everyone in the world knows how good PC loads games nowadays. Now the latest PC model loads GTA 5 Online over 150 fps; so just imagine when GTA 6 is released to PC and how fast will GTA 6 load on PC. The answer is 200% better than next gen PS5 and Xbox series x/s

I wouldn't mind getting GTA V cars in GTA VI because, just like real life, existing/older car models don't magically disappear whenever a new vehicle is introduced

I went looking for the rusty rebel on the streets, that would cost just 3000 dollars when it was available, and it doesn't even spawn anymore. They really want you spending even 200k to buy even a street spawn car. The cheapest vehicle there is now that I know of the Bati, which makes my point nonsense because the Bati still exists.

More recent DLC (such as Pizza delivery, street artist) don't make sense (effort versus reward). I wonder if R☆ are testing some new easy GTA6 content in GTA5...

Whatever it is, I LOVE how the vehicles we're getting look so much like their real life counterpart. Take a look at the Dominator GTX and the Dominator GT. The GTX looks like a weight hybrid of like 5 different cars, while the GT looks like a real Mustang with a few tweaks.

No they are being backported as look at the turismo obligato, and then drive it against the adder, its got incredible quick speed and handling, but literally no top end like someone took out a gear, and it drives completely different to what we have, and cant even beat the adder

same thing with even the dominator FX, and a few of the other cars, like the handling just feels different

and it would be easy enough just to keep the normal 3D mesh, and then switch out the interior for a generic one

also the Niobe has something the others dont, that dong noise it makes when you get into it

I see it the way that maybe gta 5 is connected to gta 6 i see it like story of gta 6 characters is conected to story mod of gta 5 ,i think that some let say players -npc are movin from gta 5 to gta 6 like for better life or something so by moving to new city they are coming with cars from gta 5 city 😂
