ОтветитьThank you for sharing. It's simple yet genuine and unpretentious. It shows God reaches and impacts our lives differently and individually. I can relate to being hurt by other Christians or being let down. But then it's about our relationship with God and not with fallen humans, that we have to remember. It's a blessing we don't allow that to fall out of the faith. As Christians we can be similar and yet so different.
Ответить"forgiveness is basically someone giving you 2 bad apples, and then you give them 2 good apples. why?! wHy woULd yoU Do ThaT?!"🤣
ОтветитьChristianity. Comfort zone. After all your friends circle are created with Christianity grow up.
Personal growth and personal enlightenment is another issue altogether.
Render to God what's gods .
Render to Caesar what's Caesar.
Differentiate between the words of man and those of God.
If God is what you seek , go find god. Do not end up just finding man.
Your unknown given time will be your own salvation to really connect.
Nothing to do with Christian man written dogma.
There is no such thing as “2nd-gen Christian”, “3rd-gen Christian”, and so on. Only “1st-gen Christian”. God has children only, no grandchildren, great-grandchildren or great-…-great-grandchildren. Everyone needs a spiritual rebirth to be a child of God, no exceptions.
John 3:3-7 KJV
3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
4 Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born?
5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.
If you say you’re a “2nd-gen Christian” or “3rd-gen Christian” or whatever-gen Christian, then it’s highly likely you’re not a Christian to begin with. You are just someone who believes there is one God. Hey! Even the devils believe that!
James 2:19 KJV
Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.

ОтветитьImmanuel Kant-
“Skepticism is thus a resting-place for human reason, where it can reflect upon its dogmatic wanderings and make survey of the region in which it finds itself, so that for the future it may be able to choose its path with more certainty. But it is no dwelling-place for permanent settlement.”
Great sharing! Amen!
ОтветитьSolid!
ОтветитьI’ve been to church since like 1 and I feel I’ve been a bad Christian as I don’t behave like one and I’ve been called out for it many times. After hearing what you said I truly realised the relationship with God is more important than anything else. Rules are always going to be broken as it shows how imperfect we are as humans and how much we need God as a result. Carry on the race sister and run with endurance for one day we will see Him and our pain and woes will make sense
Ответитьright now i have both my children in sunday school , they are 4 and 3.... i will keep in mind these things
ОтветитьBon Jovi - Keep The Faith 🎧🎸
ОтветитьThanks for the sharing. As a Christian myself, i can relate to many things you shared. Keep the faith. I like your conviction. Not just believing for the sake of it but to study and understand what you believe in.
ОтветитьThank you Annette , I applaud you for sharing the truth and being real
ОтветитьGod still loves you no matter what.... in God's kingdom, serving Him is from our heart, between us and Him, thats call relationship. Sorry to hear about your experience and i can say one thing, its about our spiritual maturity. Besides being in God's presence, it is all about Him, its call relationship. We are all dealing in and out with human and human have emotions and habits that is different from one to another. All are sinners. So its a matter of us growing in our journey with God about forgiveness. About evidence of God is real of not, well He will show you and you will realised that the experience you have is true as you have that close encounter with Him. He is all you need and remember it is you and Him...the key is to have a close spiritual buddy with whom you can be around with and feeling a good friend.
ОтветитьHi Annette, I been thru the same situation as you, it even affected my school life as well as CCA. As the church mate are from the same school & CCA. It even extended to friends attending the nearby school.
Ответить@Annette Lets be friend..
ОтветитьWow your sharing really hits home for me as well. Grew up as a cradle Catholic going to church since a baby, and I’m truly glad I came across someone like you who also found it hard to be yourself authentically especially in youth groups becuz I resonate with it too. Most of the time, I found myself being unable to mingle well or ‘fit in’ like normal young ppl both in school and even in youth group cuz I grew up as an awkward teen too, and the indirect unpleasant treatment from others just made it more obvious. For a teen like me, it’s hard to not really have anyone whom you can relate to or laugh about life with. Growing older, I started questioning my faith too in the sense of whether I’m meant for something more, whether my somewhat dysfunctional family can be ‘better’ in any way, whether it’s a shame to just be myself without any expectations, whether God truly hears me and knows my pain, whether it’d be better if I’m not in this world and many more. But what I’m most astonished about is how despite all these doubts and hurt caused by others, I never really thought about leaving the church, and it was becuz by God’s grace and mercy, I slowly came to understand that my faith is really about my relationship with Him, not about what or how others portray Him to be.
You articulated about the importance of forgiveness really well also! At times, I also question whether forgiving someone who has hurt or wronged you deeply is worth it at all. Revenge always seems to be the more gratifying option. Why be kind to the person who only ever thought of being mean to you? Later I came to understand (and still learning now) that the actions and words of ppl who hurt and speak ill of others all come from a place of hurt. So they wound others who don’t deserve it, and the cycle of hurt and unforgiveness continues. It’s this reality that keeps me grounded and reminds me that I’m not better or more righteous than anyone, and that I’m really a sinner who needs Jesus’s salvation just like everyone else. It’s then that I find the strength and compassion to forgive, though it ain’t easy. Thanks for authentically sharing your experience of growing up in church and the reality of it. Love your videos btw!💜
Tks be to God. For yr sharing.
Im Catholic Christian...❤
Love ❤️ it Annette! What a great testimony. May God continue to be your guiding light and that you will continue to shine for Him and find His peace in all your endeavors!
ОтветитьA brave video. But it definitely is speaking out for many lost ones out there.
ОтветитьWish for more of such uplifting sharing
ОтветитьGod bless you Annette. You will find as you get older, your faith in the Lord Jesus Christ becomes priceless as the things of the world fade away. Thank you for your sharing.
ОтветитьWonderful testimony and sharing. Authentic and helpful.
ОтветитьThe personal journey in searching & asking for life answers by & for ourselves is the single most important thing we could do, like u shared, Annette.
If Doug Coe isn't shy about reaching & extending influence among leaders/tyrants in power around the world with much controversy(Netflix "the family"), let Him write our stories when we chose/follow Him ? Psalms 139
I am sure your sharing will encourage many people with similar experiences. Forgiveness isn't easy especially when someone who grew up with entrusts and laughter, hurt the most. I asked God and sought many needy answers and He did, with the help of one of my ex-colleague, I join another church. I am still trying to reconcile my identity confusion in the aspect of life direction and serving. I do have my own prophetic dream about it, but the time taking me so long journey isn't a secure and peaceful feeling at all. It is good to have someone in the church who might not even be known personally to prophesize with word of knowledge or to pray over for healing and deliverance. Ultimately, such experience makes us closer to God, with the testimony that helps many people in life.
ОтветитьAmen. You just got a new subscriber in me.
ОтветитьHi thanks for sharing! It really inspires me to become a stronger Christian ❤️ God bless you and all the best! 🫶
