I wanted to share my little issue here. im a big evan hansen fan, and ive been dealing with some issues mentally i dont want to assume they have a name bc i feel dramatic. But this has
been going for years. I've been doing self harming and.. things i didn't realize were terrible to myself until now.

Today i accidentally made a mistake, and my mom told me to basically k*ll myself so.. i was ready to do it, in a tree whose brench looked really weak.

Then i decided to scroll through my phone one last time and the first thing that popped out was this video. Thank you Evan Hansen for doing what you're doing.

I kind of feel sorry for Ben Platt.... usually when a film is going to be made of a musical fans cry out for the original Broadway/West End actors to play the leads.....and yet when it finally happens the poor guy gets criticised for being "too old."

I'm going to see the show this week and I'm glad I watched the film, because while I already loved the music the film helped me fully understand the plot. Yes Ben may have been older than he was when he originated the role on stage....but older actors have been playing teenage roles for years....looking at you, Grease.

This probably not the best adaptation of a musical but I love this song and makes me cry every time!

I'm officially at a point in my life where I've lost more people due to suicide than other causes. I've almost gone through with it myself. Yet today's news of another one has officially broken me. I talked with this person in January, and no matter what I said, I could not get a response or openess from them. Being in their position in the past, I know how upsetting it can be having someone pester you, so I let it be. Now I'll have to live with this regret. I didn't try more...
