I have watched this sport for over 40 years and Phil is literally "THE VOICE OF CYCLING" for me so its very hard for me to say this but its time Phil retires😢 The past 4 years he has been making more mistakes than should be allowed and he's making such basic and simple mistakes. I've been watching the sport long enough that Phil's mistakes don't confuse me because I know what's going on even before the commentary catches up but for those that don't know what's going on or rely on the commentary to know what's happening Phil's mistakes are quite misleading. I will hate to see him leave commentary but it's time to retire Phil. We love you and always will just like we still love and think of Paul but I don't like hearing you making all these mistakes. As much as it kills me to say this, I hope you can bow out respectfully. You are THE BEST commentator I've had the privilege of listening to but it's time to enjoy your golden years Phil. We love you and it will be a very sad day to see you go but it's probably harder hearing you make so many mistakes with your commentary. It's kind of sad to hear you making these mistakes because you know this sport better than anybody else in commentary (even the European commentary field) but there's no way to combat getting older and not being as sharp as you'd like to be
