That is a level of trust in your bike, your tires, and your reflexes that I think most of us will have to work on. Thank you for the outline and reminder to relax and coast - now to practice and implement. Cheers.
ОтветитьThanks Adam
Nice work as always
If your bike has quite a bit of engine braking, should I pull the clutch lever on the corner to "roll" round it?
ОтветитьThanks!
ОтветитьAdam you have tooooooo many great videos. I haven't been able to get anything done
ОтветитьCan you come over to Salisbury Plain in the uk and show us all how to do this on the wet ice-like chalk made even slippier with a nice film of green algae over the top in the winter months? Just about any attempt to input control results in an instant off for lots of us. That’s in flat / uphill down hill rutted and with chunks of flint thrown in for good measure in some stretches. No combination of tyre, pressure etc seems to conquer this awful stuff….but we soldier on 🤕😫
ОтветитьPlease clarify rolling.... is it just rolling off the throttle of do I need to pull the clutch in for 'free rolling'
Ответитьlol all comes back to letting it all hang out and pin😅n it to winnin it.
ОтветитьAdam, you are a god-send to we off-road noobs. That being said, I do not want to ride slippery stuff ever again.
Ответитьwhen you coast , do you pull your clutch ? as in free gear or engine brakes on
ОтветитьGo hard for 10 years and you can call yourself a beginner!
ОтветитьAdam . Great video , what about handlebar setup when standing?
I stand a lot
does any of this apply to gravel
ОтветитьThanks for these videos! I was out practicing Friday some stuff from your last video on my FC250. Had a blast but went down twice. Leaves all over the trail I actually fishtailed back and forth 3 times as I was going around a curve before going down the first time. So much fun! I know what I did wrong watching this video: I didn't weight the outside peg. Keep these up, I want to get better!
ОтветитьRiding off-road in the wet is knowing when to do absolutely nothing and by doing nothing I mean no throttle no
bike and no skills it comes down to day dreaming and picking every moment just floating on the couch
When you say to just roll should i pull the clutch also no engine break ?
ОтветитьYou're having way too much fun making this very instructional video!
ОтветитьWhat are your thoughts of putting out the inside leg if riding something like a 890 Adv or other 500ish # adv bike?
ОтветитьWinter?!?! Where's the snow?? 😉
ОтветитьFrom someone who rides in and around Vancouver, this is relevant to me lol. Awesome series Adam, thanks for doing all this. I think I learn more from 1 of your videos than 5 from anyone else.
ОтветитьAnd most important: how to wash muddy white offroad gear to get it clean again? ;-)
ОтветитьWhilst Rieman is a riding, come for s ride in wales….. that place got all sort of slippery shit like no other place…..
ОтветитьA little water?! That the Pacific Ocean! And I can't swim. My mother was right, I should've picked up pool or darts.
ОтветитьYeah sure, look at him explaining everything as if no biggy, mr. Superman. I bought me a Husq 310 and after every 7 minutes riding, I need 7 days in hospital.
ОтветитьThanks Adam, There's always that ah oh factor when riding a trail and i come into a wet part. what do i do if the terrain is not flat? like on the side of a mountain. I hit a piece such as this and my front wheel just slid out from under me and my body kept going straight. i broke a rib on that one. love the how to stuff. cheers
Ответитьbrill thanks 🙂
ОтветитьThanks you legend. Cheers
ОтветитьDude, please race the RIMBA RAID in Malaysia at the end of August with us. We going up from Brisbane.
ОтветитьAnother good one.
Ответитьhahahahaha come to panama and film that again... there you will find some real slippery surface🤣
ОтветитьBloody nice riding technic 👍👍
ОтветитьPlease do a ‘how to’ for sand, I suck in the sand.
ОтветитьCruising around your rural paddock and getting sponsored to do so! Living the dream.
Some good advice, but hard to see anything when you are wearing those bright whites haha.
Enjoy life you lucky bugger. I see a certain property between Karuah and Port Macquarie with sweet sweeping tracks. I reckon i know where these videos are born :)
The most amazing thing about this video is how green your place is!! Did you get a bit of rain mate?
ОтветитьI love your videos so so much. But I can’t help but think about the scene from “forgetting sara Marshall” when Paul Rudd is trying to coach him to surf. “No bro. Do less, you’re trying to hard. Do less.”
Ответитьdoes anyone know his height?
ОтветитьLooking forward to the next one. Are you gonna do an adventure bike version?
ОтветитьThats not slippery the dirt's red and has sand and gravel in it. An inch of clay built up on the tyres is slippery
ОтветитьSimply,Do nothing ( mean while huge brraaaaap😅)
Ответитьdoes this all translate to the road? except the wheelies?
ОтветитьAs always, incredible. Thanks and please keep them coming 🙏
ОтветитьBro called a 300 2 stroke a little bike 💀
ОтветитьJust found your channel and these videos are great. Thanks!
ОтветитьCan you explain what you mean by "letting the chassis carry you through the corner"? It doesn't quite translate to someone whose 1st language is not English.
Ответитьcan you please please do a video on relaxing the chassis - in a bit more detail !
ОтветитьTerrific. Can´t wait to test this. Thanks a lot for these lessons, they help a lot.
ОтветитьImagine riding in the winter with no snow😭
✌😆🇨🇦
Bald tires also make good greasy simulators
Do you have any tips on how to avoid tucking the front wheel? I have a lot of issues with that.
ОтветитьA big thumbs up for your clear and precise instruction. The rolling-coasting-doing nothing is very noticable on my heavy enduro bike (Transalp 600 PD06), its sheer weight pushes through mud like an oil cruiser. This riding technique helps me termendously. I' not too fond of mud, but learning step by step. All the best from a super hot Nürnberg/Germany summer, Günter
