Battery degradation not much of a thing for me. Bought Zenfone 4 max 2017, 5000 Mah battery. Still going strong.
I am the opposite of a power user. Text/phone once every few days. Weekends use phone for bus service and maps.
But going to get new phone. My apps don't support Android 8 anymore. Legacy tech here.

Love the new direction for your channel Gary. It looks like some EU legislation might start Apple, Samsung, et al, to make battery replacement easier and cheaper. But it doesn’t sound like it will be as easy as it used to be…

EU should mandate all smartphones capable of bypass charging, that is, a smartphone powered by the charger/adapter. This reduces wear or degradation batteries.

It's not real. It's not a battery. It never was. It's a conspiracy hoax that was taken out of context(basically archaeological heracy), and misidentified.
The electroplating thing is just a non-insane explanation what such a "battery" could've possibly been used for, under the assumption that it was a battery. Which it wasn't.

We can't exactly know what the pots were used for, they were taken out of the context that could have answered that. There are explanations ranging from preservation of scrolls to just storage or ritual practices(the latter being the most convincing argument). But the battery explanation is definitely bunk.

The one thing the Bagdad Battery does prove, however, is that context matters. In a room with other, similar pots, it's just a pot.
In a museum archive, removed from the place it was found, it's suddenly a highly interesting pot with electric properties that gets Ancient Alien folks riled up
