This was so helpful! I was super intrigued by the 2min before bed and 2min when you wake up! I also want to try this mint gum thing! AND the accent tip! That was my favorite and I am definitely going to try it!!

Thank you Shelby for this golden information!!

Shelby really helped me out with these tips this last month, and they work. I am a visual learner so I wrote a lot, but the night time sequence and the single word helped as well. Thanks, coach!

I love the last tip! So important to remember our brain is always working so we should make sure it's working on what WE want it to. Now if I could only remember to rewatch this video...

I don't learn lines but I am learning a new language so the 2 minutes tip will be useful to me I think :))

Fab! Running lines early this morning. Love the before-sleep idea and the one-word-only thing. Perfect! Been writing out speeches several times and running between writing. Helps lots, too.

Reading something out loud that I’m trying to memorize is big for me. It also helps a lot if, while I’m reading, I work out a cadence or inflections I want to put into the words. When I remember the feelings I’ve attached, recalling the words is easier.

These are great! I normally do the before bed and when I wake up idea, and then take a variation of the word by word. I actually do it in slightly larger chunks, such as by lines to help me remember/focus on context as well. :)

Really valuable practical tips, Shelby; and (as usual) a lively and delightful presentation of them as well! I always enjoy watching these video posts.

These are terrific tips! I have used some for years, but I love the ‘one word at a time’, will definitely try it! Also the mint gum( how could it hurt?!?!).

Marvellous stuff. Love your enthusiasm and jolly nature. Great tips. Didn't know that about mint! Your Scottish accent was spot on. Your butler's voice was charming (although no old English butler would dare be so mobile in expression 😆🤣)

Liked the 2min 2min technique and I always read Shakespeare out loud even though I'm not remembering lines. Your videos are just so so good.

Encore!!!

I know the science behind chewing gum! Chewing increases the demand for blood flow to the head, and therefore increases heart rate, blood pressure, and blood in/around the brain! This “wakes up” your brain and helps with concentration. Some studies have shown chewing gum during a test can increase scores.

Amazing tips! I can’t wait to try deux minutes et deux minutes! And having a copy on you at all times! So smart. Reminds me of when my mom used to tape up that week’s spelling words next to the toilet.

Did you try any techniques of Dominic O'Brien? Just interesting, many people say that it makes you a lot of additional work to memorize things that way, using pictures and for that reason doesn't worth using.
