Brilliant video again chaps, such a pleasure to see local places to me I always have a note pad at the ready to write down the cadets stop at. Just bought my first bike and can’t wait to get out on it
ОтветитьPotato and Leek... stonking good winter soup. Sunday bike are how I assessed the little Triumphs. Beautifully put together, smart, neat, but most people wouldn't want to go more that 50 or 60 miles on one. If you like a custom Triumph Rich, then I'll be in touch next spring (supposed to be this spring, but....). Mines not black though... it's Ford Vista orange!
ОтветитьFor guys over 6 foot ?
ОтветитьHi Eva . Love the top you had on . What make is it ? And is it under armour ? 😊 thanks
ОтветитьHa , when in crediton that’s where I stay 😂😂😂 rooms are great , the whole set up is ever so friendly
Ответитьyou would love the scrambler XE I love mine Rich
ОтветитьRiders of a 'certain age' will reminisce of Yamaha RD250/350's (Suzuki/Honda/Kawasaki also featured) even the mighty FS1E forgetting the 250's started with around 30HP and 350's had 39HP and nobody thought they were too slow. By the end of their developement they all improved but nothing compared to current bikes. These new range of 400/450 4 stroke machines are a match for most vehicles on any A or B road with better tyres, brakes and handling as well as reliability included. 40HP or the 47HP limit is plenty on these poorly maintanied roads we now have to suffer and these new Triumph models look as well made as any other India produced options. Although given the choice I chose a Royal Enfield the other options appear as good.
ОтветитьDefinitely go somewhere hot 😂😂
ОтветитьAnother ok vid
Would be better if you were natural like lavi and Ollie and not staring into camera all time. It’s very off putting. Sorry but it is
I like watching your vids just gotta let yourself go more n be natural
Love mine just got a 15 tooth sprocket for the front on my 400X to make it better
ОтветитьThere is no good coffee in the UK !!! You need to come to NZ
ОтветитьI do like both bikes I’d go for the red one too
ОтветитьGreat vid guys question for Eva my wife likes the top your wearing base layer I'm guessing what make is it please
Keep up the good work
Jason&dawn
Rich & Ewa i have the triumph 1200 rs speed triple amazing motorcycles enjoy these little beast
ОтветитьI am doing a motorcycle maintenance evening class at a local college and we have what appears to be one of the 400cc final test builds/prototypes. I am sorry to say after a close look at it stripped apart i am not massively impressed with the price as it appears they have raided the Royal Enfield 350cc bikes spares bin. So i would save the £500 and get the guerilla Rich looked at earlier or save £1K to 1.5k and get a 350cc Enfield.
ОтветитьHi guys, We are liking the Triumph 400 as we have a Yamaha MT03 to carry in our Campervan. Go on, try camping with them and enjoy all the fun below 85 mph! Can't wait for the next blog. Andy & Lyn.
ОтветитьVoge 900 DSX and the Triumph scrambler 400, similar cost to new Africa Twin two bikes for the price of one, food for thought .
ОтветитьI have a black Speed 400 to go with my Kawasaki z400 and my Honda Monkey. They are all very different to ride and I can pick what I am in the mood for. Adventure bikes are way too tall for this short arse, I put panniers on my z400 and tour Europe on it, no issues. I don’t like riding on motorways but there is not issue if I need to.
The Speed 400 is a great handling bike and I am really enjoying it.
The Triumph 400 series is about the same price as the 650cc Royal Enfield, so perhaps in India they are an alternative to those bikes. Enfield does have a lot of competition in India; Honda produce a 350cc bike with a similar output to the Royal Enfield 350s which is also sold in Australia but not here in the UK, and reportedly they are better quality than Enfield.
ОтветитьI believe these 2 beauties got the Best bike of the year award 2024, you can see & hear why, I’ll go for the Black beauty speed 400, enjoy guys 🏍️🤗
ОтветитьAnother great review, though it gave me the heebies seeing how close you seemed to be to the quayside edge lol. I’m pretty sure these bikes forced RE to bring out the Guerrilla, as their 350s just lack power.
Some pointless trivia, I joined the RAF at the Exeter Careers Office in 1978 😱😂
Mid-range bikes, you've gotta love them ! And guess what, the Triumphs Scrambler and Speed do look very nice indeed. It doesn't surprise me at all, that they have been selling these bikes in great numbers.
ОтветитьSweet, if it ever stops raining I'll give the fish soup a miss but sold them another coffee.
Ferry to Spain is appealing.
Hi Ewa Rich lovely looking bikes. I agree with Ewa go some where warm if you can to camp. Take care 😊
ОтветитьGo Portugal or Spain
ОтветитьAs a second or third bike the Triumph 400 would be a perfect bike. Customised for sure and only for day rides or down to the farthest away coffee stop....PERFECT! A trip to Bideford would be really good to see. Went to school there in the 70s/80s and it would bring back happy memories(well, mostly!). Bideford has some interesting history too!
ОтветитьNice to see you two back in the country !!. I'm new to your videos but i've been watching a lot of your euro touring vids and it's making me feel a bit jealous. I usually get over to france at least once a year but not this year 😮💨. So i'm champing at the bit to get away. Having said that i'm thoroughly enjoying the videos so keep up the great work 🏍🏍
ОтветитьGo on - get that hot tent! Sitting around on a cold evening in a warm tent, watching the flames in the stove flickering and heating up your hot chocolate on the top is a huge luxury, as is getting into a warm sleeping bag when you turn in for the night! The whole setup is very easy and practical.
ОтветитьWell Hello Mr. & Mrs. Beautiful and Handsome... in any order, it's still true... just pick the one that identifies with you.
ОтветитьOMG - just realised I was not subed. I thought I was !!!
ОтветитьYou are correct I know a few chaps who have bought these who are of mature years shall we say. I think that the 350 / 400 market is going to boom, cheaper to run, insure etc. time will tell .
ОтветитьNow pit a roll bag on the bag and off you go. You can travel far less. Soft bags.
Difficult trails?
No dramas.
Ride safe
Do you ever watch nathanthepostman he takes tours all over the world on small bikes. There is no real need to have a large bike, other than for bragging rights. He is in Spain now with 20 different small bikes. I thing touring, for many, nowadays is a test of how quick can you go and see nothing to get somewhere and back. (your rides accepted)
ОтветитьCamping trip on the 400 if you can fit the log burner on it😎👍
ОтветитьCanaries are lovely in winter.
ОтветитьThe Triumph 400 is made in India hence it's popularity.
Also Thailand and Brazil.
These little 400s are gaining serious popularity and for good reason.
Brilliant machines with enough real world power for most people in the real world.
My girlfriend just bought one of these last week and loves it.
I’ve gotta admit, even though I own 6 bikes all 1000cc and above, these thing have an appeal.
Another great clip guys and u are both slimmed down and looking great. 👍
Stay safe out there roads are getting slippery now 🏍️
As an ex British motorcyclist having ridden daily through all weathers in blighty, lived here in Western Australia now for 25 years we have fantastic weather for riding your motorcycle, there’s an option for you 😊
ОтветитьBack to basics motorcycling presented with a bit of retro charm.....Decades ago I rode a Suzuki SP370 and bikes like the Yamaha XT500 were also on the scene. I guess they might be considered early adventure bikes as they offered 'thumpy' practicality for those who didn't want the likes of the GT380/ RD350LC type bikes of the time. Everybody should be encouraged to try a thumpy single on the back roads - such fun......Enjoy!
ОтветитьIf the various brands continue to make their bikes available to you, you can sell the Honda's. A different bike every 2 weeks, nice! 😂😂 It must be starting to get a bit boring to listen to 🤏: I thought it was another entertaining, relaxing and fun video.👍✌I can't wait to see what topics you'll come up with for the videos you'll be making next winter.
ОтветитьYou made me want a 400 Scrambler...!
ОтветитьI’ve just bought a speed and put a top box on it for lightweight camping next year. The box pops off and you hardly notice the rack 😀
ОтветитьBrilliant guys ❤
ОтветитьI've been to that coffee place. Collumpton isn't it?
ОтветитьGreat video guys, they sell like hotcakes in India because they are made there by Bajaj. Triumph chose them after their success with the Bajaj created KTM 390. Its happening everywhere. The Chinese company that own Benelli and make the Leoncino 500, not make the same bike for HD as the small capacity bike. The plus side is lots of choice for the customer, but most are paying for a badge. Brand names still are mote important to some people. Not knocking the bike its a cool bike at the price point. Ride safe guys ✌️
ОтветитьCold weather camping ...google elefant treffen (picture,s) nice to see 🥶
ОтветитьDragon Rally!
ОтветитьI do like a triumph, one of my favourite bikes is a triumph 900 scrambler 👌🏻
Ответитьloving the honest and down to earth bike reviews/first impressions, just passed my mod 2 and am going out window shopping for a new bike, i'll give you a nod if you ever come through maidstone area
