This is good for young fans to know. One thing is not correct. The mob, Carbo a member of the Tommy Lucchese crime family and Palermo were involved in fixed fights before 1947. It really got infiltrated when they convinced James D Norris whose family owned The Chicago Stadium, MSG and The Detroit Olympia and they started the IBC, International Boxing Club. Those interested should know that in the early 40’s the great Ray Robinson was not allowed a title shot at LW even though he beat Sammy Angott, real name Angotti, who shortly after Robinson beat him was given a title shot and won the LW title. Robinson beat him 2 other times at slightly over the weight matches. Robinson would not play ball with Carbo/ AKA Mr Gray. It took Robinson over 4 years as number 1 WW contender before he had the opportunity. The mob could no longer ignore him. He was too good. This is just one example of the damage Carbo did. There are many books available on this topic which the person who did this video obviously used as reference. I’ve been following and involved in boxing for over 60 years. And it never gets better. It’s now a circus side show. Its an embarrassment
