You got out of the way just in time.
ОтветитьNot sure if it would have made a difference, but the toggle was horizontal behind the wall. I wonder if setting the toggle vertical might have improve performance. Does the packaging address that?
ОтветитьGreat video. Really nice to see these anchors put to the test at its limit.
ОтветитьPlanning on using this for a 9U network rack… probably will be picking up some washers also… probably going to be a total of 100lbs off the wall
ОтветитьHello, good reference for sure, you'll notice its the drywall that fails not the anchor, so the substrate you're mounting to will determine hold up to the actual fail rating of the snap toggle, which would mean fracture of the actual stamped metal toggle section. If you were on 1/2" drywall, that's still a great hold that's for sure, we have 5/8'" here at a commercial application so they hold even better. thanks for the video, they are the best thing since sliced bread.
ОтветитьHi! So using multiples of these should be able to store my weighted plates? I bought the PRX storage peg rack (which seems to have some weight already to itself as well) to hold 160 lbs. I don’t have space to place it over a specific stud or room for a stringer board either.
ОтветитьGreat Video brother. Very informative. I always wondered, now I know. Great Video edit from Gladiator.
ОтветитьGreat video, thinking of using these to mount a large TV where I don't have wooden studs.
ОтветитьHmm.....wonder what these things could hold anchored in a metal stud rather than just drywall...?? You think these are overall a better option than standard 1/4 toggle bolts..??
Ответитьcan I use it to mount cable station to the wall
ОтветитьNice you made the video
Ответитьwould a installing it on a metal stud make it even stronger?
ОтветитьYou’re like the Phil Swift of Toggle Bolts! You sold me! Trying this today! Thank you!
ОтветитьWhat would you recommend for putting up wall shelves?. I got some rubbermaid shelf boards. I'm shelving out an entire wall in my spare room (craft room) I got 5 up using two studs but the other shelves won't line up with studs. 😭 I have wall anchors and togglebolts
Ответитьdrywall failer not toggle bolt try that again :) please that was great. lolsome true ninja skills there
ОтветитьI think other commenters have essentially said the same thing but the test is not legit. The wooden "leg" of the drawer support flush to the wall is distributing weight along the drywall increasing the hold capacity. that would not be a typical application of the product's usage.
ОтветитьSo each bolt holds that amount , so a shelf with two bolts should hold say 300 pounds?
ОтветитьWow finally somebody did the test right!! Thanks!
ОтветитьHow think in diameter and length was the bolt ?
ОтветитьWhat would eye protection do in this case haha, you needed steel toe caps lmao
Ответитьwish someone would do a test on this over time. failed at 175 but would it hold 125 safely for a long time for example or would it fail over time etc..
ОтветитьGreat testimonial Video, not to mention the Humor!
ОтветитьThe bolt can hold the weight but the wall cannot
ОтветитьI noticed you put the toggle horizontal instead of vertical. I feel like that made a big difference and made it weaker. But still a good video
ОтветитьHow much weight will a 1/4 inch toggle bolt hold from a drywall ceiling?
ОтветитьMount a 70 inch in the living room with these... good idea or no? 🤔
ОтветитьThe Toggle held with no damage. The drywall gave way. I would say the toggle in something like a 3/8-1/2" wood panel would actually hold shear and pull out of at least 500 pounds.
ОтветитьI got 4 bolts holding up a cat shelf. I don't wanna test it cuz the wall will pull off before the bolts break. I gave a slight test to it and heard the drywall start to pull. Kinda silly they advertise this way, I mean it works, but the issue with hanging things is hardly the bolt itself shearing.
Ответитьonly had 1 wall stud to use for a full motion tv mount to bolt to, and I also used 4 of these to support the rest of it holding up a 75in TV that's 60lbs. i have 100% confident in the the full range of the full motion tv mount, it will hold for a long time with no issues.
ОтветитьThanks for your suggestion for this video guys!
