The player in grey shorts, William, is a local official 4.0 USTA player. At the time of recording, he was preparing for a tournament, and has shows a deep passion for the game. He plays power tennis: gaining the advantage with big 1st serves, dictating and punishing with heavy forehands, and also outfoxing opponents with feel.

I started playing tennis in April 2018, and have trained/played as often as my low funds will allow. I study and analyze tennis very often, but haven't had many good opportunities for regimented training. As a result, I've plateaued at the 3.0-low 3.5 level, with incredibly inconsistent groundstrokes, zero net ability, and pathological double faults. At the time of this video, double faults are still a gigantic problem, and grounstrokes still feel like dice rolls. I also cannot hit a backhand slice to save my life. My strokes, serve consistency, and overall confidence are on massive up-and-down swings.
