Just bought a Whirlpool 4 door fridge today with a bottom freezer and an ice maker. If I want cold water I’ll just put a pitcher in the fridge. 5 year warranty

After watching and reading comments, I’m going to have my 20 year old Maytag repaired. The ice maker is beginning to drip icycles.

i have Frigidair white fridge manufactur date is 09/2006 still going strong.

What about the Samsung 28 cu.ft.4-Door French Door refrigerator with flexzone drawer in silver(RF28R7201SR/AA)?

I like side by side refrigerators. French door models kill my back. So no, this wasn’t helpful.

Where does the water come from?

I would love a refrigerator that has no freezer, I have 2 freezers, I really need more refrigerator room!

My Samsung died in three months. Started with freezer failing now the fridge is also bad. Lots of spoiled food. trying to get service now...apparently a widely known issue.

Update: no support from Brick/Samsung. Replaced with a whirlpool/maytag side by side at my expense built in MI.

Is there one that will last more than a yr? Clearly LG ,Samsung and I think kitchenAid have committed appliance, Harry Carey with their lousy compressors that only last three months.

According to several utube clips, LG AND SAMSUNG FRIDGES ARE THE WORST! Why put more bells and whistles on a refrigerator but last only months or less than 10 years???
My kenmore Sear, 28 CB , side by side, 2001 still running but front ice box doesn’t work well anymore. Refrigerator side, food often get frozen in the winter no matter how I set the temperature on the unit.
In a research to get a new best one, maybe a simple Whirlpool that may last?!!! What do y all think???👍👍👍🇺🇸🤩

samsung and lg?? you got to be joking. where is whirlpool and kenmore in the list. my 20 years old kenmore and my sister’s 25 years old whirlpool side by side fridge are still working great.

Kenmore bottom freezer from 2000 still ticking. Scared to buy anything new.😮

LG is the worst brand, failing within months and tons of lawsuits, don't listen to this.

I believe LG has two class action suits pending. There are hundreds of complaints that they don’t cool due to the compressor design. So, how did they get on this list?

I had an LG french door frig that failed three months before the warranty was over. They sent a repair guy who worked on it for 3 hours and finally gave up and finally ordered a new compressor; he stated it was leaking freon. Three weeks later he installed the new compressor and guess what, it still leaked. He leak checked the frig for three hours and finally gave up. He stated the leak was somewhere in the freon distribution in the body of the fridge and couldn't fix it without disassembling it entirely thus it was unrepairable. I spent the next five months fighting with LG to replace the fridge but they stalled by slowly escalating my problem through three levels of "customer service". I finally gave up having wasted nine months of time with LG. The bottom line is, DO NOT PURCHASE LG, THEY WILL NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR WARRANTY!

I can't believe you are recommending a Maytag refrigerator. How about focusing on overall customer satisfaction and repair history. My new $3600 Kitchenaid is horribly unreliable.

I just had to purchase and I chose the Frigidaire. I was complaining to the installer about appliances today and asked him about his experience. He said..."Whatever you do don't buy a Samsung refrigerator"...FYI!

LG compressor #2 died at just over 5 year mark. Quoted $800 for labor but no compressors available.

No more $3,500 garbage. Spent $1,300 on Hisense. May also be junk, but cheap junk, not expensive junk.

Terrible reviews….quite clearly they’re only interested in glitz and glamour. No mention that you’ll be replacing your Samsung or LG in less than 5 years, never mind the aggravation you’ll have with breakdowns. Unfortunately, in 2023, most refrigerators are junk. It boils down to picking the one that is the best of the worst.

In my case, Samsung has used internal degradable cover seals, which then has let outside air, to get in and deposit its moisture, forming ice to build up and expand out until the fridge framework cracked, deeming to fridge at that point to become unrepairable. Samsung have multiple US class action lawsuits happening for similar issues but here in Australia they have again chosen not to recall their fridges back, or to replace, or to perhaps remedy this issue in some other way. The fridge technician that I have spoken with said that other manufactures don’t have this issue.
