Im not very versed in the 4 stroke engine maintenance intervals except a little while ago everyone was saying the 4 strokes are only good for 90hrs. So id like to know How long are you guys running these motors before you start tearing them down and building them back up?

ОтветитьI have a 2021 yz450 and it has broken down twice now an sitting for awhile and I owe on it unfortunately. And I don’t know what to do with it! Bad ass bike but it wasn’t worth buying honestly

ОтветитьBesides entering the four stroke to the Supercross world they aren’t exactly innovative they where the last to fuel inject. They just keep models around longer and don’t get rid of things.

ОтветитьDon't ride motocross, but just from an off-road pov don't the 250cc MX bikes have tons of power? I get that the 450's are too stiff and too dangerous for amateurs, but the 250's make like 40hp. How much do you really need to go round a full size motorcross track recreationally? For example, KTM's SX-F 250-350-450 lineup is dynoed at 40, 50, and 55hp respectively.
Is it not just about the peak power? Is it low end torque or weight or frame stiffness that is making the big difference between a 450 and 350 rideability?

ОтветитьIf Honda and Kawasaki built and sold a modern 500cc two stroke motocross bike, they would sell out every unit they would make. If Yamaha, Honda, Kawasaki and Suzuki built a 250 and 300 two stroke bike, they would sell a ton of units. Two stroke machines are heavily sought after, especially the big bores. I believe that if the japanese brands would offer the 250 and 300 two strokes, they would draw more business to those people who are brand loyal. I am a Honda guy and I wish I could get a new 500cc two stroke and would love a 300 two stroke Honda for off road.

ОтветитьI got a YZ250 semi tricked up rode mates KXF450 2023 with pipe and tune the rode mates 2022 KTM 350 pipe and tune man it felt so light and nimble where the green machine just felt outa control wheeling wheel spining snaking every where trying to throw ya off outa every corner ,KTM brake turn in gas out nice little wheelie all in a straight line puttting manageble power down ,heaps of grunt ,3 seconds a lap faster on the 350 than the 450 with the YZ in the middle ,450 arm pump concentration gone anxity kicks in just too much wears you out where the KTM is fun to ride and not tiring and enjoyable ,fuck 450s are traumatic to ride and im 90 kg fit to ,gotta get a 350

ОтветитьAbsolutely nothing wrong with the air forks read the manual and learn how it works and what to do to get what you want out of it and it works perfectly fine. I’ve had kyb Showa stock and both with factory connection and currently stock air forks 21-22 on 125t and 250t and 250sxf and 450sxf and it’s fuckin amazing super easy to tune and adjust and super easy to understand feelings is excellent, yeah it’s not ass plush or pillowy as a spring but when you’re fast even springs are stiff af so it’s really not that crazy different I love my air forks there’s no need to dump the cost of a entire bike just to have spring forks on them.

ОтветитьI won’t get a Ktm I’ve got 2023 WR 250f it’s fully uncorked competition ECU and it’s CCU and I love mine it’s basically a yz with 6 gears right . And I’ve got the 2024 yz250x and a 2001 yz i will always be team blue

ОтветитьThe only thing I don't like about the Yamaha's is that they sound like they're under water when they're up on the top end. Sounds weird.
