ОтветитьCould you do a video on how one could lose money on these trades so we can know what to look out for
ОтветитьI Hit 12k today trading. Started last month 2024. Financial education is indeed required for more than 70% of the society in the country as very few are literate on the subject. thanks to Louise O'Brien for helping me achieve this.
ОтветитьI am new to this so forgive me for my ignorant question. You didn't say what would happen if the price goes below $20 before the expiration date. Will the contract automatically end and you won't get the opportunity to purchase the stock? Or is the contract still good until the expiration date?
ОтветитьI lost over $80k when everything started to tank. Not because I was in an exchange that went belly up. I was just stupid to hold and because that's what everyone said. I'm still responsible. It just taught me to be a better investor now that I understand more of what could go wrong. It took me over two years of being in the market, I'm really grateful I found one source to recover my money, at least $10k profits weekly. Thanks Charlotte Miller.
ОтветитьI dont see the PDF in your description for calls or options, is there a way to send a link?
Ответитьi have to say that after that cringe intro im a little scared to take advice from someone that cant spell STRIKE
ОтветитьHit 200k today. Thank you for all the knowledge and nuggets you had thrown my way over the last months. Started with 17k in last month 2024.
ОтветитьI don't see the pdf
ОтветитьGreat video bro I love your channel
ОтветитьYou need investments before doing any options trading. Is that right
ОтветитьHow much money munimum can you start with?
ОтветитьOptions that have at least one year of expiration date it’s call leaps right?

ОтветитьLove your videos on options. Your communication and video explaining skills of options have improved over time and it's quite cool to watch. Great video!!
ОтветитьHey, so I am a stock investor + options trader (beginner). Is it possible to create separate accounts within Robinhood so that I can keep my stock investing separate from options investing ? I am just not clear on how much I have invested vs how much gain on stocks vs how much is options gain/loss etc.
ОтветитьAmazing strategies Pandrea. Keep making more video.
ОтветитьPlease bring back your Patreon Alex!!
ОтветитьGlad you’re back! I got into options because of you! First month was great, second month not much so I would like to learn more. Was selling calls
ОтветитьYou said there was a PDF with education. I did not see that link???
ОтветитьGreat video Alex, glad to see you back!
I would mention the risk on selling puts, as it's not a fool-proof strategy. If the stock keeps dropping in value you can lose significant money as you own 100 shares. NKE would be a good example over the past year:
If you sold a $100 NKE put at the beginning of the year, you'd be down ~30% on your 100 shares for a $3,000 loss.
Welcome back!
ОтветитьBuying an in the money call is risky. Even if there is a fair amount of time before expiration.
If the stock doesn't move up by expiration, you can lose much of or ALL of what you paid for the option. And if there is much time left, likely the time value of the option will be SIGNIFICANT.
He leaves WAY too much stuff out to be doing newbs any favors here. You'd be a LOT better off buying a decent book or two. A good book on LEAPS (long term options -- more than 9 months to expiration) for example 3. And a good book on selling calls and puts for income for the first two examples.
Amazon, for example, has LOTS of decent to good books on options, with plenty of reviews.
This is REAL money, re trading options. FAR better to have a BIT of an idea of what you're doing with some good examples (which decent books always provide) BEFORE you start trading options, than mess up and WHOOPS, lose money you didn't have to.
Same comments for selling the put apply for the second example, selling a covered call. You only have to sell the stock if the call buyer exercises the option, NOT just because the stock price touches the expiration price before expiration. And, you are NOT obligated to sell the stock, unless the option is exercised. Prior to expiration, you can very likely buy the option back, unless the stock is well in the money with little time left (when it could be easily exercised by the option buyer).
ОтветитьSIGH. If you're going to talk for clicks, at least be ACCURATE.
Re the first example (sell a put).
1). The option is NOT automatically exercised if the price touches the strike price before expiration (unlike what you said) ONLY if the buyer exercises it, which will generally be either on the expiration date, or if the stock falls well below the strike price and the stock goes ex dividend.
2). You are NOT obligated to always buy the stock (unlike what you said more than once), because instead, you can choose to buy the option back. The ONLY way you are forced to buy the stock is if the buyer of the option CHOOSED to exercise the option. If there is time value left, for example, they generally won't do that, because they are better off selling the option. Now, at expiration, if the price of the stock is below that of the stike price, then you certainly WILL be exercised on the option and have to buy the stock.
Bro saw a bull market and said I'm back
ОтветитьThe stock market is more volatile than ever. recently went "all in" and bought up $80k worth of ETF's & individual stocks, my aim is to take advantage of this S&P 500 downtrend, what could be accurate predictions moving forward? Open to chat.
ОтветитьAmazon stock would good be a good choice right now right, been riding the $200 line
ОтветитьStart off by selling covered calls, then selling puts on stocks you are ok getting assigned if the trade goes against you. Then, I recommend selling vertical puts and vertical calls on stocks you follow very closely and understand their price movements. Always be aware of earnings dates, fed activity, unemployment, and cpi announcements. I strongly encourage you to practice in a paper account and see how you do before going live. ThinkorSwim is a great and free platform to try. Do this for at least a month. Also, do not get greedy on premium. Understand the greeks and avoid getting greedy on capturing too much premium. You will blow up or account. Finally, manage your positions. Understand what you can lose and set a loss limit. For example, on this trade, if I am down 30%, I am closing the trade. Keep in mind, option prices fluctuate and one minute you can be down and the next up. Control your emotions. If you strongly believe in the trade and are willing to lose 100% then let it ride. If not, get out once your limit is hit.. Whatever you do, do not double down. It's all about risk management and protecting your capital.
Ответитьkeep up the videos! very helpful hoping to place my first option trade sometime soon. Appreciate all your help would love to see a live trade video to see how you deal with the trades in real time!
All the best !
I’ve been making a lot of losses trying to make profit trading. I thought trading on a demo account is just like trading the real market. Can anyone help me out or at least advise me on what to do?
