It is quiet alarming that the incidents of locking on to ILS frequency from above are a lot even after lots of previous incidents.

This was completely avoidable, what’s the point of the first officer or co pilot if he can’t even correct an erring pilot?

For some reason I think Airways is the only mode where post take off your life is in the hands of the pilots😢😢
Just because the pilot doesn't want to take a safe approach, why the rest of the passengers onboard have to pay the price of that bad decision, with their lives?

I live in Jaipur and sometime about in September this year, an aeroplane flew way too low, almost above our roofs, pretty much like the Karachi PIA.
Thankfully nothing went wrong as no unfortunate news was reported anywhere in the upcoming days.
But it leaves me wondering, that we may say that the Airways is the safest mode of transport, we base that theory only on the fact of the reported incidents.

How many of such accident or about to happen accidents are not even reported and hence there are no lessons or learnings taken from such scenarios.

Snoring? A Pilot and fit? It appears the Pilot ignored the warnings of go around, because of sleep depraviation,fatigue.

Mangalore airport no medical staff etc etc. very painful to see this. Hope airindia has learnt from this mistake and hve rigorous checklist for pilot.

So there are these classes , sometimes I m sitting at the teachers desk sometimes with the students , your there , Roger from mad men is taking the class , I m sitting with him , u go out for some reason (the angst)

Then captain is the murderer of 158 people...He ignored all warning and acted like unprofessional inspite of clear instructions that captain must perform the landing at Mangalore airport, he was carelessly sleeping and even though first officer suggested not to land and stick into holding pattern.

Hopefully these fatigued team were subject to a well scrutinized investigation and are not flying anymore.

The simulated Dubai airport looks exactly the same as in real life! The HSBC Passenger Boarding Bridge gave me a surge of nostalgia. I used to peek out the window to see airplanes, and I used to see the same HSBC bridge. The level of detail in this video is unreal.

Every time I land at Mangalore Airport these tragic memories flood my thoughts. Prayers for the departed ones.

I am Mangalorean, and i was just 3 years old then .After some years i came to know about this, i was terrified .6 years ago, I met a fire fighter who was there in the scene and he explained what had happened. It was terrifying but he said, "I am grateful for the locals they helped us a lot."
Well, after that, many things have changed .

This was bone chilling to watch because I went to this crash site a couple of hours after it happened, there was nothing left of the plane, everything was burnt and melted, it was hard to believe that a plane of that size had crashed there. No one could have survived that fire.

Can you make a video on TAM Airlines Flight 3054 which was in Brazil, that was also one of the deadliest cases from 2007
the plane missed the runway at São Paulo and crashed into a TAM Express building and a Shell gas station,

I was studying in a college which is 2 km away from this airport. That day was really horrible and painful. Many ambulances were lined up in our college premises,the grieving families with tears, fire at the crash site. The locals helped a lot and responded quickly to the situation. They had put lot of efforts be it in rescuing those 8 people or looking for other survivors in that smoke and fire.

The airport shouldn’t have been constructed there in the first place. Initially the plan was to set up an airport in Puttur which is 45kms away from Mangalore but due to strong lobbying the airport was constructed in Bajpe that too on top of a mountain.
