Just this morning I watched your video from 2 years ago about that Franklin sensor. I'm happy to see it appear here too. Just so you know, they have an even more accurate model called the M210 with 21 sensors and LEDs for more accuracy. It also has an electrical wire sensor. It's about 60 bucks and worth every cent.
ОтветитьGreat attitude, Richard!
ОтветитьBeautiful work from a master craftsman.
Ответитьvery nice
ОтветитьI really appreciate the process you have of prebuilding your trim pieces they always come out awesome. Ive watched you do it for years now and when i first tried it in my work and adopted it as a standard process it took my results to the next level. I agree with what you said It is important to care how it looks and when it looks really good you dont have to ask the customer if it looks good they say it automatically when they see it . Question do you have to rip the back off of the cap molding as you did in the detail video?
ОтветитьThank you for all your videos and education. I plan to do a fairly simple board and batten wainscot on my stairs. There is a landing and then they turn 180 degrees. The second set of stairs is enclosed. I'm wondering if I can use a simple trim on the enclosed side with the shorter wall and wainscot only the wall with the handrail. Would that look off? I've searched all over the web for examples or an answer to this question but haven't found anything.
ОтветитьWhat's the easiest way to de-texturize a wall? Mud it? Or use euca board like some of your other videos?
ОтветитьIs the "Graco Ultra 2000 psi Stainless Steel Airless Airless Sprayer" worth the money for Fine Finish Spraying? I have the HiBoy Graco Sprayer, but its a pain to get out and clean for small jobs. Just wondering what you recommend for like patch work?
ОтветитьI love the look but I don’t envy the person who has to dust that. 😁
ОтветитьThis looks great. The one thing I hate is not being able to see a lot of the rooms when they're painted and furnished.
Ответитьbeen watching the new videos that i cant comment on and i just wanted to say that it looks fantastic and youre doing a top tier job
Ответитьnice work dude
ОтветитьBeautiful work as always. On an exposed end, I will typically run the stile all the way up to the top of the wainscoting and have the rail butt into it so as to avoid exposing the end grain (if I’m adding a top cap). I’m assuming you don’t have issues when it comes to painting that end grain? Would love your feedback.
ОтветитьYour work is second to none. A true artist. You deserve all the success that comes your way.
ОтветитьAlway paying attention to the little details.,,
ОтветитьNice job on the frames, it pays forward when you spend as much time on the design as you do on the tools. I dabble in the Fibonacci formulas for simplifying rail locations and a sense of balance. Historically all the masters based design on it
ОтветитьBeautiful work
ОтветитьHello sir,
Regarding your door casing skill video. Great find and good detective work, but the metal rings were usually installed HOT and into a moistened wet wood mitered corner, so, as they cooled and shrunk they acted as a cull and gave some permanent holding ability. Hope that helps, DMG3
You do great work. Done right.
ОтветитьThose thick wainscot caps are beautiful, however, the more horizontal layers you add in a room, the more dust collectors you add. I made that mistake in my home. That being said, if the lady of the house is OK with that extra detail, then so be it.
ОтветитьWell thought out lay out, true craftsman!
ОтветитьBro your exceptional work and self-made skills aside, I respected you until I saw that shirt, and also merchandising it as well.
I can’t follow or give views to anyone that supports a decades long fascist Russian chaos agenda…and you have kids too.
Thanks for all your vids and tips. Good luck👍🏻✌🏻
What is that tool called the one you used at the very beginning of the video on the jamb?
Ответить你是我的师傅,谢谢你。当我看到你拿了那些框架直接安装的时候,我知道,这非常非常专业,测量和制作简直不差分毫。完美的工作 ,向我的偶像致敬。
ОтветитьGreat video. I learn a lot from you. Thank you. I did notice something of an eyesore though, the power extension cord all coiled up underneath the miter saw. That is creating a field and it’s really bad for your precious tools. It might be the reason your compressor failed on you right after you got it a while ago. Hope this helps.
ОтветитьLove your videos and your work. Could you please explain why you reassemble the entire wall layout instead of piecing it together on the wall. I cant get mu head around it.🍻
ОтветитьLove your videos! We are about to start making our own wainscot and I was curious what wood/MDF material you recommend? We are going with a very basic shaker style. Thank you!
ОтветитьI'm blown away by the precision of your measurements, the way you are able to pre-assemble your project pieces and have them fit into place absolutely perfectly, never so much as a smidgen too short leaving gaps or too wide and not fitting or else having it overlapping a window or door frame. Every time I try that, no matter how precise I am or how many times I double check my measurements, my project always ends up being off. I wish I had your skill/knowledge so I could learn how you are able to accomplish such precision, allowing you to pre-assemble projects and framing pieces and then just set them into place. I'm so envious!!📏📐🧐🤔
ОтветитьNo glue or biscuits is strange
Ответитьholy crap this is insanely awesome
ОтветитьDo you us 1/4” mdf to fill or just leave drywall as your surface?
ОтветитьHey guys, big fan, id love to know how you guys build these from start to finish, im assuming you make a template or something? I just dont know how you guys do it so perfectly, im really good with trim, but man if just one jamb or frame is off,, its going to make that reveal look like shit, and god forbid you have to remove something, im assuming its all pocket screwed, that would be th ultimate reason on doing it in huge sections like that im assuming, other than the fact of being able to pocket screw them, i cant see any other advantage, lots of stress. 😂 my head hurts just thinking about it. And transporting it. How do you do that? Man i have soooo many questions. 😅
ОтветитьDid you do that ceiling? And if you did how did you do it?
ОтветитьLove the returns n the way u work have been following u for a while n learning allot your attention to detail is second to none thank u for the knowledge
ОтветитьThe value of this house increased by 100k after this was completed.
ОтветитьHello sir, I like your video very well. Thank you👏
ОтветитьProfessional job!!!!!👍🙏🏻
ОтветитьRespect especially on the trim returns - wow
ОтветитьSomething to think about! Not sure if you are on a slab but if not drop your outlets down into the base board looks much cleaner when you eliminate the wall outlets in odd positons in your fields. Just the way I do it but most of the houses Ive worked on are on crawls or basements.
ОтветитьMan, that little return detail on the casing added so much to the design. Great job, dude!
ОтветитьNice returns, looks beautiful 👌
ОтветитьHello. Been watching you awhile now and think your great at what you do. May I ask the header used in this video, can you tell me what you used? 1x2 and 1x6 I'm guessing but what inch crown or trim is at the top? Thank you
ОтветитьWhat a talent! Once again well done. I have learned so much watching your videos. I just trimmed out my home and applied your techniques and it came out amazing. Thank you for taking the time to teach us, and you are correct. It is therapeutic!!!
ОтветитьI love this guy. Its refreshing this kind of work.
ОтветитьWhat you did with the hard stops was GREAT!!
ОтветитьThat is absolutely insane! (not in a good way)! I was a trimmer for 40 years. NEVER build a contraption like that and try to install it already assembled!! The amount of time it took to measure and build that, I could have trimmed the entire house. Something so complex is built piece by piece on the wall. What are tee chances that every measurement will be 100% on the mark?? It's absolutely insane time, and perfection wise to try to build and install as a unit!!! My second question is WHY!!! why would you even attempt to use this method???? As a trimmer everything was about time. The faster we finished a project the more money we made. Get it done and move on.
Ответитьexcellent work
ОтветитьDid you scribe the bottom before you made it? Or was the floor perfect? Looks amazing.
ОтветитьWhat kind of wood do you like to use for your wainscot assemblies?
Ответить
