Gosh, magazines are so easy to ship. When we buy shipping boxes in bulk, they come flattened and are open on two sides. You just take your magazine or other thin thing, like a little golden book or other piece of ephemera, and find a flattened box where you have about at least an inch extra on all sides. I make sure my item is wrapped in plastic or put inside of a zip lock bag and then I slide it into the still flattened box, tape the two open sides of the box closed, slap my shipping label on it and off it goes !!!!
ОтветитьWhy is eBay charging me .35 cents for items I post to sell? So i stopped posting. Any help..
ОтветитьMy hat sells have been great.
Ответить🙋🏻♀
ОтветитьDon't feel bad for reselling Bibles. I have a local thrift that prices everything individually. When I see a nice Nativity, I buy the Baby JC. In 5 weeks they mark the rest of the set down 75% . I buy it at a great value to complete my set. But I don't have a mansion and private jet so I figure I'm not doing as well as the preachers on tv.
ОтветитьJust want to thank you...A while back you mad the simple suggestion for sellers to tighten up the photos - just to crop them so they showed larger in the search results. Boy did I need to do that! Right in front of my nose and I didn't notice. Thanks Kevin!
ОтветитьCan you do a video, or have you done one previously, about how you track your inventory and set up your cabin? I'd love some inspiration. 😊
ОтветитьHow do we know if our items are on facebook marketplace or if they sold because of facebook marketplace?
ОтветитьHoliday. I forgot I always drop at the holidays.
Until Thursday, Polish and Brush was beating Mercari for me, again. I sold a $100 jacket on Thursday.
I saw one of items listed on Facebook. Loved it just wished it was a better item 😂
ОтветитьThe rule with some "nice" jewelry sold on television (for example) is you're going to get up to 50% of original sale price, and better guess is 1/3. That may include the shipping, and once you take fees out if you pay more than 1/8 of original retail you're at best going to break even. Other items are the same. Before anyone gets on Kevin again for being cheap, math doesn't lie. You can pay 25% of retail and end up losing money after all is said and done. It used to be you could pay more, but fees and expenses are both up and prices people will pay aren't.
ОтветитьHey Oh!!!
ОтветитьOF SOUND MIND ....LMAO
ОтветитьJUST SHIP ME ALL THEM LIFE MAGs ILL PUT EM TO USE .
ОтветитьLove your level headed commentary.....
Ответить❤
Ответитьlove the free facebook promotion. its awesome. Anyone complaining hangs out on the internet too much and needs to touch grass.
ОтветитьThis concept is nothing new.eBay has already been promoting on Google and OfferUp for a very long time.
ОтветитьWhat if you have a listing that offers local pickup as well as shipping? Will the fact that you offer local pickup disqualify you since you are directly competing with Facebook marketplace?
ОтветитьPut your computer up on a stand so you don't have to bend down....
ОтветитьCan't believe the license plates of old finally sold ...👍
ОтветитьHere is the logic kevin. What Ebay, Facebook, you and anybody who likes this fails to understand is that Ebay Buyers are not Facebook Marketplace buyers therefore it will kill my facbook business. I'll explain. This is why this is bad. Some things just sell for more money on facebook then on Ebay and those things wouldn't even sell on Ebay if I tried or for way less price. It's not the same buyer. If my Facebook buyer saw my ebay item on Facebook and my facebook item is more money well they are going to go and buy it on ebay or to whoever has it for less. There are less fees on Facbook to sell with shipping which I have been doing for almost 4 years now and it just a different buyer. I sold a pvc snoopy figure for $9 on facebook the other day that I did not put on Ebay. They are on Ebay in abundance and the cheapest one, the exact one I sold for $9 was on Ebay for $3.50 or best offer. Yes $3.50 or best offer with $3.96 shipping. What excatly does the Ebay seller think their profit will be on that, even if they sold it at $3.50 with out an offer? Again mine sold for $9 and its still on prepaid shipping label for $4 which the buyer pays to Facebook. So i hate this new "Great News".
ОтветитьI started a selection of certain buyers a 25% off coupon well eBay did my whole store. I got on my desktop computer & deleted it but it is still there until April 12th today . I have 103 watchers & so far no one has bought. I wonder if they were promoted .
ОтветитьThe fb thingy will work better for eBay as well as fb. Seems like a promotion in itself… for both platforms.
ОтветитьI wish my teenage muntant ninja turtle cassette would sell for that.
ОтветитьTurkey season starts this month in alot of states
ОтветитьAlways enjoy your videos, Kevin 😃
ОтветитьI sell and use Facebook. I saw one of my auctions advertising on Facebook. It was over a month ago, so had no idea this was a thing. It didn't help sell the item, but it was cool to see it actually being done.
ОтветитьEIS is the best, its guaranteed money, no cancellations , no returns. I'm always excited when i get an international sake, crazy that people opt out of it
ОтветитьI started cross listing to Facebook on my own recently and have been making sales on items that have not sold on eBay for months. A little concerned about customer service for shipping but I am trying it to get more items moving out.

ОтветитьI've only been reselling for a few months but even I've come to realize that even though you're selling online eBay has so many fees that you don't net your sell price minus your cost price. EBay has promotion fee, sales tax, final fee. I've also had people cancel their Clothing order after I shipped because they ordered the wrong size and want a full refund.
ОтветитьImagine my surprise when 3 of my listings popped up on my Facebook feed. Now I know why.
ОтветитьI love the video of the old church while playing Amazing Grace!
ОтветитьI already crosslist to fb marketplace and several other online markets with just a couple clicks of the software I use. I don't need to pay fees when I don't have to since I already list on fb. I also know the level of customer you get on marketplace...that is why I don't ship on there. It is pickup only, cash only to prevent chargebacks on cash apps and crap like that. Fb has some real idiots on there and shipping to them just is asking for any number of bs chargbacks, returns and general stupidness. No. I am good listong how I list on the marketplaces I list. I have the control which I don't when ebay just lists whatever and the bit accts from fb try to scam you. I don't need any.ore of that bs.
ОтветитьLove the channel, quick question about handling fees applied to a shipping policy. Do you use them? And in the event of a return would the handling fees also be returned? Assuming the return is buyers remorse and the original shipping is not returned. Thanks!
ОтветитьI run a sale about every 3 months on stale inventory and the sales do drop off the first few weeks afterwards. But it kind of gives me a breather from the shipping. As for facebook and ebay I think this is a great idea. But I haven't heard anything about this until now.
ОтветитьThe downside would be related fee increases for eBay sellers. eBay will definitely want to mitigate or eliminate their increased costs as a result of this partnership with Facebook which means we (the sellers) will suffer, ultimately. The fee increase won't be labeled as such but will be baked into future increases. I may be wrong, but I doubt it.
ОтветитьThe problem with the cross list done by Ebay on Market Place is you are gonna pay Ebay Fees. There are no fees on Market Place. Yeah you are not having to list but do you really want Ebay to profit on listing your item that had you listed it yourself it would have been FREE straight profit????
ОтветитьeBay sales have been down for me the whole year. I’ve had a few good sales, but I don’t think I’ll hit last years numbers. I’ve came to a conclusion, I think I’m pricing too high to start off. Im buying items too high I believe. Kevin’s the goat compared to my rookie campaign. Hats off and congrats to you and your sales! I love the content. Thanks for sharing!
ОтветитьThe thing You want too opt-out of is the Arbitration nonsense they just came out with.
ОтветитьI know you used to teach history, so correct English usage might not be your strong suit. The correct phrase is "by accident" not "on accident." I cringe ever time I hear "on accident." Your children will pick up the incorrect usage, too. Other than that cringe factor, your videos are quite interesting and informative. I've watched most of them, both Picker and Flipper. It's not by accident that you do what you do, and you do it well! Thank you!
ОтветитьNope - They do not know how to pay. I have had back in forth 10 messages for 1 item. Too annoying.
ОтветитьDon't trust Dave's auto and Collectibles, he sold items for me and never paid me
ОтветитьI want to say thank you for your videos. I love that you steer away from the negativity. We may pay fees and extras, but we get a massive online platform with visibility none of us could muster on our own!
ОтветитьEnjoyed it, Thank you sir, I understand about taking photos, not my cup of tea either.
ОтветитьAre the items promoted on FB Marketplace going to have any identifier for the eBay seller? I have purposely not put my items on FB.
Ответить
