As Indonesian, I see this country has a lot of potential and many things that are still in “bad” condition such as corruptions, human resources, low educated citizen, low infrastructures, law & order etc are not permanent meaning they can change for the better. I remember that our national football team was in very bad condition years ago, but look at it now, we’re heading to participate in World Cup! Our history has been thru a lot, so I believe we too can overcome corruption, low educated citizens etc. Just believe in ourselves like president Jokowi shown us that we are heading for better future.


Our real asset and wealth are Indonesia’s natural resources (under / on sea and ground), fishing, farming, plantation, forestry, biodiesel, renewable energy, sunshine, population size, strategic location, and patriotic & militant citizens. Capitalize these assets and make them to be number 1 just like our palm oil & nickel and we will unleash the true potential of our country. Manufacturing and Industrial base are shift able and not permanent, they have moved from Western countries to Asia and they will move again when wages and standard of living over there are high. Just prepare ourselves internally and do our homework first, combination of our then educated citizens & natural resources will attract those industrial base and manufacturing to move here.


I like it when other countries look down to us, it clouds their judgment but to my fellow countrymen be proud & believe in ourselves. Everything that in "bad" conditions now are not permanent and we can change that.
