I was going to buy one of these this week, but I didnt when I realised that going to freesat with the Hauppage HVR-5525 (or similar) card might allow a mix of freeview and freesat. I was wondering if you had any experience of doing the same server/streaming setup you show in your other videos where you have a mix of two input streams. What happens to the TV guide, is it even possible to do this or do you have to stick to one or the other? All freesat or all freeview only?
I use just freeview at the moment, but Im in a really weak signal area so now thinking maybe switching over to freesat might be an option. Although, do you get that old LNB limitation where you can only watch one freesat channel at once? Even with two tuner cards freesat would be limited to one channel?

Why would the TBS give you more channels? Isn't that more a function of the antenna that you are using? Did you use the same antenna when comparing available channels for each tuner? Thanks!!!

Are you using this card in an AMD B450 motherboard? I can't get it to work but, the card works fine in an intel PC.

Hi @AmoebaMan, thank you for your videos on tv server, they are very useful. I wonder if you have experimented with the WinTV software at all, if you know, can you watch the recordings from another computer, and can you share them through the home network? I don't really watch live TV and in my home that I rent the aerial is far from my TV location, I was thinking doing a simpler setup without the nextpvr server, e.g. using a raspberry PI with a USB dualHD, an external drive and samba.
