Absolutely beautiful!!! Thank you for sharing
ОтветитьVery well done
ОтветитьGreat video! Question- Would your trailer have made it on most of the Alpine Loop trails? Maybe exception of Corkscrew? I have similar trailer and am curious. Thanks for making all the great videos.
ОтветитьReally great video, I'm leaving in 3 days to go back out there but this time with an outback. What did you drop tire pressure to and what kind of radios did you use for talking and listening for traffic on the trails??? Thank you and great job !!
ОтветитьGreat video! Thank you.
ОтветитьHeaded out there in 2 weeks with a full suspension lift 2016 Outback 3.6 and a couple well capable rigs. Just curious how the trek did overall. Im thinking we will take this exact route you guys did. Any info is greatly appreciated. Great video.
ОтветитьDid the Subaru have a lift and skid plates? Great video.
ОтветитьDid you camp in between ?
ОтветитьGorgeous video!
Ответить🤙
ОтветитьBeautiful footage and editing
ОтветитьI've been making notes of which roads would be 'Subaru Outback Wilderness Edition' approved (that's the factory lifted version with the turbo engine and tweaked gearing/CVT) for when I retire in several years and actually buy one of those for my adventures. If that Crosstek can make it with the non-turbo engine and the lesser aggressive gearing, then the Outback Wilderness should have no issues at all. These are some beautiful places and I'd love to see them (and take my time, once I'm able to retire and be able to linger longer).
ОтветитьOne of the best videos I’ve watched! Very well done!
Ответитьincredible views!
ОтветитьThere's something incredibly liberating about the overlanding lifestyle. This video captures that feeling perfectly.
ОтветитьDidn’t know about the Satellite with Labels overlay in Gaia, thanks for the tip!
ОтветитьI drove the loop 40 years ago when Silverton was still a mining town and we tourists weren't very welcome. Been there a few more times.
ОтветитьI have to give kudos to the Crosstrek and Rav. I've run a lot of those trails in my XJ and Ram Rebel. The trails aren't necessarily technical, but I spent a lot of time in low range.
ОтветитьJust got back from a week in Colorado Rockies. 1400 miles of amazing scenery through so many passes. Unfortunately I wasn’t going to risk damaging our rental Mercedes GL with anything beyond a basic dirt road. Will have to go back with something more capable. That being said, it’s great to see the Crosstrek and Rav making short work of these areas. Did you even need 4WD in the Wrangler? I’m wondering if a lifted Sprinter/Transit on decent tires would have kept up? Would it need 4WD? I don’t need a rock crawler, just something that can handle this loop. We need more friends like you guys. What a great trip!
ОтветитьSo you took Ophir pass from silverton to telluride. Then silverton to other spots. So how did you get back to silverton??
ОтветитьJust found your channel, loved the drone footage…..subbed and liked!
ОтветитьThis is the first time I have seen your video on your Overland travel this is the best I've ever seen with your drone beautiful mountains nice view Sharp. Feel like I'm floating in the mountains.
ОтветитьThank you for this amazing video. I wanted to ask which pass would you choose between engineer pass or cinnamon pass if you have to go again? I am planning to go this weekend but not sure which one to pick.
ОтветитьBrilliant video! Though Ophir pass is a 2 way pass, not 1 direction, I typically go up the way you came down, it’s a bit more of a challenge lol.
ОтветитьUnbelievable video! Thanks for sharing!!
ОтветитьAwesome video footage and narration. Having done Corkscrew pass last year, you all definitely highlighted it well. Beautifully done!
ОтветитьWhat month and week did you go here?😊
ОтветитьYou just made me realize that I can traverse the majority of the Alpine Loop with a Honda Ridgeline. I'm so there!
Thank you so much for sharing this!
Good to see the Crosstrek made it. I have faith a turbo Outback on ATs will be fine.
ОтветитьGreat job with this video. Your drone footage was awesome and has given me some ideas. You guys did a good job with the low clearance vehicles. I live in Montrose so these trails are in our backyard. We have gotten discovered and the trails are getting rougher with all the increased traffic. This summer we had to wait for a 18 jeeps to get by us before we could advance up Maggie Gulch. Thanks again for sharing your adventure and the great drone footage. A tip for Lake City is the ice cream shop and all the flavors they offer! 😀😀😀😀😀👍👍👍👍👍
ОтветитьHi, I wanna do the Alpine Loop out of Lake City on my own starting with Cinnamon Pass and then the Engineer Pass. Will it be possible to do with a RAV4 Rentalcar and normal street tires? Saw some dificult parts on your vid in my opinion. I wanna do also do ophir eastbound. What do you think?
ОтветитьNo unnecessary comments! thanks for taking the time to create the video!! love every min of the nice video!!
ОтветитьOne question. What tires are on the Subaru?
ОтветитьExcellent video! Just came across your channel, looking forward to more 👍🏻
ОтветитьThis just goes to show that you can get out and explore America in most any vehicle. Especially in something 4wd or AWD. The point is to get out there and explore and to enjoy our natural world around us. Sure a big jacked up truck can go off less beaten paths, but with basic recovery gear and some finesse behind the wheel you can probably get there in what you have. A lot of the OG back country explorers (post invention of automobiles) were in simple stock Jeeps and trucks and station wagons (estates for our UK folks).
That said, I'd really like to see Toyota offer the Rav4 in a little beefier off road version, like a TRD Off Road or Pro with a rear locker.
As an owner of a RAV4 and a Honda Ridgeline, it's reassuring to know that being Jeepless doesn't necessarily mean being hapless. Now I have placed these iconic routes on my bucket list. THANKS!
ОтветитьGreat great video! Can you tell me roughly which month and week of the year you did this trip? thanks!
ОтветитьWe elk hunted not far from there a couple years ago… the mice were unbelievable in September. They got in our vehicles, tent, one even in a sleeping bag. Did yall have any trouble or have you heard of others having such an issue?
ОтветитьI have watched several Alpine Loop videos and yours is the best! Love the colors, footages, and narrative!
ОтветитьAmazing video. Do you have the coordinates for the Silverton Camping spot? Looking to tackle the loop in June.
ОтветитьOutstanding video! Drone shots are amazing! Well done.
ОтветитьLove this! Heading through some of the passes this weekend myself, and this was v helpful, so thank you!
ОтветитьThis is a FANTASTIC video. Beautiful shots/scenery, excellent narration, and I absolutely loved the music. Thank you for sharing!
ОтветитьI'd hate to have to pass anybody on some of these roads. Looks like you can't in some places
Ответитьhey great video thanks for sharing. I am going there this weekend with wife and 2 kids, would you share the starting point of Ophir Pass? Thank you
ОтветитьAbsolutely stunning video. We are heading there in 40 days and this video answered a handful of questions we have had. So awesome. Thank you!!
ОтветитьLoved this video, but I don’t think I could do what y’all just did,
Ответитьyour video is inspiring. . . . just purchased a 4x4 and will be following your trail. Thank you!!!
ОтветитьGreat video. Thanks for sharing!
ОтветитьAwesome video. Added this place to my bucket list. Thank you for this
