Add a simple float to your fishing kayak setup to prevent loss of your anchor

I use red paracord between my anchor float and the trolley on my yak and nowhere else. This way, in a hurry or in an emergency situation, if I need to quickly release my anchor all I have to remember is pull the RED line out of the zigzag cleat.

How long should the rope be that is going form the boat to the float system? I do think the one you used is red.

I’ve had to cut my anchor to stop from flipping when I got it wrapped around a bridge.
