I like the message here. Blackwolf brought fascism and mechanised war to a world he sought to rule. His evil did corrupt everyone. Avatar resorted to using the weapons of his brother turned enemy against him. And then threw the gun away. It was not a good action, but a necessary action.

Evil is doomed to be stricken by its own weapons when it leaves good folk no other choice. And then good folk must abandon evil lest they become what they had fought against.

the funny thing is blackwolf is the good guy. he's trying to restore an almost extinct human race, whereas Avatar will keep mankind dead and gone just so he can cavort with scantily clad fairies for eternity
