Phil Spence wrote this song when he was touring with his band and longing for home. We call it wanderlust rock! The video attempts to reproduce the sometimes frantic nature of touring internationally, with it's rockin' guitar licks. The sites flash past quickly, like life on the road with all the adrenaline moments, and then homesickness kicks in. The chorus changes pace completely with a gentleness and longing as Phil thinks about those at home waiting for his return.
Lyrics:
I’ve been to Rio – Copacobana.
Been to Tokyo – Hey Konichiwa.
I’ve been to Moscow – Said ‘Dasvidanya’.
And went to Gizo – You know I’ve traveled far.
But you give me sweet comfort; you give me sweet comfort.
You give me sweet comfort when I’m home.
I’ve been to Paris – Comment allez vous?
And to the Alice, I climbed Uluru
I’ve been to LA and went by Hollywood.
And to Bombay – Ooh yeah, da curry good.
CHORUS
When I’m home…
CHORUS
I’ve been to Lima and saw the Andes too.
And went to Suva and met a Ratu.
I’ve been to Sydney, and Kathmandu,
And to Port Moresby – Wanem long yu?
CHORUS
