This one with Snapdragon x elite with 32gb ram for 1000 euro or this one with i9 185h with 16gb ram for 1000 euro, what is the best buy?
ОтветитьThanks for the detailed review. Were you able to run Linux on this laptop @Techtalets ? I am waiting to hear on that. It is important that most if not all devices run in linux.
ОтветитьHi. Between this processor and core ultra 9, wich one do you think is better for web browsing and downloadings? Thanks, nice review like always. 👍
ОтветитьDid you set the processor performance to 100%? My understanding is that the default setting is 40%.
ОтветитьBut it iss capable of running generative AI LLM models over 13B parameters on-device.
Because everyone outside of Mark Zuckerberg is running one of those on their laptop. 😂😂
Hello! Você recomenda este vivobook S15 para trabalhar com desenvolvimento de software?? Obrigado.
ОтветитьTouch screen??
ОтветитьWould you rather recommend this laptop or new ASUS Zenbook S 16 with AMD ai? I would use the laptop mostly for everyday use, business, programming, watching documentaries, photo design and video editing here and there and wouldn’t use it for videogames.
ОтветитьThat’s great job Qualcomm 🎉 It’s as good as Apple M3 pro intel and amd x86 ard dead 😂
ОтветитьGreat review! Can this laptop do virtualization like Windows Hyper-V for virtualizing x86 OSes?
ОтветитьExcellent reviews .
ОтветитьI have bought this laptop and wrtting now for it, but I'm not able to use the AI noise cancellation option!
ОтветитьDoes this support avx? How do you turn it on?
ОтветитьThank you for this awesome detailed review!! Would you recommend this laptop for engineering students (specifically computer engineering)? or basically software development?
Ответитьtech tablets always detailed
ОтветитьWow, the cam image quality is great! I will wait for the black or dark grey version.
ОтветитьReview 7x by Lenovo
ОтветитьMan this decade has been so nice for laptops - arm chips, OLED, 120hz, virtually all touchpads are really good with Windows precision, and keyboards are very decent nowadays as well.
ОтветитьI enjoyed your review. Its unfortunate that they aren't marketing a 32G version for memory. With no way to expand memory 16G is a no go for use with CAD and program development.
ОтветитьI am disappointed no 64gb version. I need it for work
ОтветитьVery interesting review. Thanks
Ответитьi wish you tested davinci resolve instead adobe premier pro since there is beta version of resolve that supported by snapdragon x elite which would have showed what hardware is capable of in video editing
ОтветитьE-GPU pls, i begging u
ОтветитьI'm only interested on Linux on those machines.
Will check in a future! Kernel 6.11 seems to be the one for what Qualcomm claimed.
lets wait a month and see "non-brand" laptops performance
ОтветитьGo watch the Just Josh livestream video... Josh ran into problem after problem with the Snapdragon X Elite based laptops.
Sure it's a MacBook competitor. But you could get an underpowered MacBook Air for $900. Or an overpriced MacBook Pro for $1900. Neither of which can you ever upgrade.
ORRR, you could get an Asus Zenbook Pro 14. Right now you can get one for $750 with a Core Ultra 7 155H, 16GB RAM, 1 TB SSD. And you won't have any of the compatibility issues on the Snapdragon.
Did you try an egpu?
ОтветитьHi, are you able to enable charging limiter up to 80% level in myasus app?
ОтветитьWhat if this AI can give u a background with whatever we want. Without putting a green screen. Would be cool right.
ОтветитьReally deluding chip. Ryzen AI chips will hit the market in 3 weeks. And they have stellar performance per watt, according to OEM and some chinese manufactures' benchmark leaked
Ответитьnice ram usage.
the hardware paired with one of the worst os seen, windows 11. The OS will kill most of the laptops as most of these laptops will have 16gb ram .
as AI features unwind in real use they pretty much suck, only translate language is good for now
ОтветитьIm not crazy about these new chips, waiting for M4 in laptops.
ОтветитьAm having an issue on mine with the WiFi constantly dropping.....idk what is going on 😭😭😭
ОтветитьUnreal Engine and compiling for x86?
Ответитьdoes it have a fingerprint sensor?
ОтветитьIt would be nice to know if it is easy to install GNU/Linux
ОтветитьHow's the fan noise?
ОтветитьEfficient chips? Fish and chips 🤤
ОтветитьThanks for the in-depth review
Ответитьexcellent review, thanks.
ОтветитьAre you allowed to tinker a bit? maybe add a thermal pad on the SSD yourself and confirm?
ОтветитьGreat review, can´t wait for Linux laptops running on ARM without the spy-copilot BS
ОтветитьSo.... 2 fans. Max 45W load. Barely-competitive performance. Useless AI.
Maybe the lower voltages of this mobile chip are better calibrated than desktop knockoffs, but it seems like there's no magic in ARM - performance per watt is the same or worse.
Personally - I don't mind the emulation. I don't mind Windows Mobile or whatever. In fact, I've been waiting for it. And what I really need - is some basic X\non-elite in an affordable windows tablet below 300$. Intel could pull it off some SIX years ago with their Atoms. On 14nm. AMD never bothered, they always had volume problems in every department.
So that's what Qualcomm and Microsoft could have done - take over the sub-500$ market. Because, frankly, 500-1000$ is no longer laptop zone - you just buy a handheld console with a top APU and Windows. Easy.
But alas, this isn't for the consumers. It's for profit.
It is very pity you have not compared captions. Of course YT has translation into many many languages, much more then Copilot but accuracy would be interesting.
ОтветитьLooks like battery efficiency is like 30% better, I would say this is 1-2 architecture of a head of Intel and AMD.
Lets see how Intel and AMD will answer
Nice review, as always.
I'll try this chipset in the future when the processor get more support.
Even samsung's SSDs are thermal throttling.... samsung should stop wasting sand
