Cotter Pin hole will be past the hole vs "below".
I'm watching this because my Moog tie-rod end I just put in the bolt was too long... I put on 2 grade 8 washers. I also double and triple checked that I had the right part number...... And torqued to the manu. 67 ft lbs

My Moog ball joints have never included the washer.

that's an installed cotter pin? looks like it would fall right out. then the nut Would back out.

That is Proper Castle nut location. But the title says proper Cotter pin installation.

Sure would be great if your kits included said washers or at least mentioned them in any provided instructions

Good tip on the height but beyond belief its not shown how to bend the ins which 99.9% of us came here for.....guess you don't bend them...

You didn't show how to install a cotter pin. You bend the long end down so that the tip of the cotter pin is to the center of the bolt when installed properly.

Well, thanks! After 50+ years of car repairs, I finally learned that I’m not supposed to bend the ends of the cotter pin. Sure simplifies the job! 🙄
