can you use a blipblox with an analog cv controller?
ОтветитьI've bought this because 1) I want to introduce my nephew to synthesis. 4th birthday gift. But its also for his Dad, my Bro.
2) i know it will either A) annoy the shit of both parents or B) one parent might take to it and join in or....C) it ends up in the bin within a few weeks. If C) I will demand it back and midi the shit outta that shit. Love those controls and explanation of signal flow.
I still hope for option 1 A) though
I am thrilled to see this. I saw a video about the DATA Duo synth for kids and got all excited until I found out it was 350$. That Product felt like a device for wealthy adults; this feels like a proper synth for children and at a better price. Although, frankly 160$ (189$ on Amazon) is still pushing it. Working class parents aren't going to take a chance with something this expensive unless they are already synth enthusiasts are have the desire to work their child. Someone, unfamiliar with all this would simply wonder why it go with a device they've never seen before instead of a far more powerful digital keyboard for under fifty dollars. I know why they should and I think the price is reasonable, but just search for 'children's keyboard' on Amazon to see the type of product that your synth would be sitting next to in a store. I think that's a tough sell to parents who aren't electronic musicians themselves. (You can imagine my thoughts on 350$ synth).
I am speaking as someone who is actively looking for a product to try to teach synthesizer music to children through a University. My theory was to use sound synthesis to work with children who have trouble communicating verbally (autism spectrum primarily, we'll see) as well as any physical impairment that would make holding a guitar or playing the piano difficult or impossible. We're way early in the project, so, likely at least six to nine months away. This product might actually be perfect for us and priced right but might be still a touch too high for regular parents. Just a thought.
Virtually no one else is making products like this and I thank you for that. I got into synthesis five months or so as a thirty year old and it was a profound, life-changing experience. I would imagine the same would be true to an even greater degree with a child, especially a child who struggles with speech.
いらねー( ̄▽ ̄;)
dustbox lol
I know what I'm getting this Christmas
ОтветитьGreat. Now we need some pedagogical evaluations (probably empirical) about the effects on and for kids. Really think about giving out an MA thesis to dialectically validate its worth. I only know i needed this 55 years ago!! Sure that people will be circuitbendig it for using it in eurorack :-)
Ответитьaha... so that's how it works ; - )
Ответитьdefinately want this for my son, he's 3 and loves playing with my drum machines and synths, but he also tends to play a little rough at times. this is perfect fun for him
ОтветитьOk super fun. I want to get one now
ОтветитьWhat if I want to call it a BlipBox
ОтветитьIs there a way to store the user’s sequences, or you need an external sequencer to make it play sequences other than the onboard ones. BTW, how many onboard sequences does it have?
ОтветитьAre you people on twitter? Facebook is too scummy to use for updates.
ОтветитьWhen will this be for sale online and in stores? Thx.
ОтветитьYes, the Blipblox does respond and sync to midi start stop and sync messages. We will add a video demonstrating this, and other features in a few weeks.
ОтветитьCan it sync to midi clock?
ОтветитьSounds better than most online modular jam videos
Ответитьnailed it
Ответитьit would be awesome if you would make this not only for kids but make another one that has a better design that is made for produsers that is more sleek and doesnt look like a toy , that would be great than you have 2 different looking blipbloxes that do the same thing but one for kids and the other for produsers
ОтветитьPrice?
