I’m a novice to this whole stock thing so probably a dumb question but, if the free stock I got goes down in value, do I have to pay out? What do I do if the stock I am holding onto goes out of business? Like do I have to help them pay for their loss?

Robinhood may have changed their terms since this video was made but you guys do need to link your bank account in order to receive the free stock. I am not sure if you need to buy stock to receive the free stock but anything as little as $5 you won't regret.

thats not true to selling when the market is going down.. sometimes it is advantageous to take the capital loss for tax purposes... or cut your losses so you can invest else where..
