It was a sad day when they stopped making westerns.

I read that originally the people who make these kinds of decisions, were intending on our hero being killed, but I'm glad they changed their minds and let him live. I love Audie Murphy in any movie! 🐮

In the original script, Audie Murphy's character was supposed to die at the end, but they decided to change the ending to the lame one here because he was becoming so popular, thus ruining the entire plot. Good grief!

Murphy is so wooden and expressionless I don't know how he ever became an actor he's certainly no Lawrence Olivier.

Audie Murphy is the BEST Actor. But also along with the Other's.

The production studio must have gotten a real big discount for nighttime set use. Lots of dark scenes. But, I love Audie Murphy.

This is the first Audie Murphy movie ending that had my blood pressure boiling!! What a ROTTEN kind of an ending that he is betrayed at every turn by everyone even his "so called girl friend" gave him up to the corrupt lawman snakes! I'm sure they'll have a wonderful life after 20-40 years he spends in jail! I only watch these westerns to feel good at the end, NOT to feel enraged at the TERRIBLE ENDING! Too much like modern-day evil at the top! :(

Audie was yet another person taken from the world too soon! One can only imagine how many movies he would have made if he didn’t die in that plane crash!

He should have ran for the presidency when he was approached about that possibility.

Silly lazy script, where everyone including the sheriff had to be somewhere else to allow Audie`s character to be attacked!

I DON'T GET IT.. THEY SHOOT ONE REPLACEMENT SEEN ROCKS FOR GOLD ON TRAIN, THEN DO ANOTHER ONE?
