It is impressive how they manage to make those events more and more pointless for everyone else than other suits and waste our time. Next year they probably just release a video with someone saying "AI" 200 times and leave it there. Suits talking to suits this year - next year it'll be AI presenters talking to AI audience that relays the information lacking babble to social media - marketing AI. Their slide with the new name got arranged that way in the hopes of tricking people to get the rest of 7900XTX since it looked more performant that way. Petty, cheap and arrogant to believe that people are that dumb... then again there are people that buy a Nvidia 4090 for gaming so i'm sure some idiots fall for that too...

I guess they didn’t show new GPUs, because they found out that Huang was going to dump prices and release the 5070 for $550 with the same power as the 4090 and AMD decided to hold off the announcement)) Leaked said that the 9070 XT was supposed to have the same power as the 4080 and cost up to 600 dollars, but, apparently, after AMD found out Jacket’s plans, they had to sharply move up the announcement date 😁

I don’t think AMD themselves expect RDNA4 to sell well at this point. You can already tell the usual “50 dollars cheaper than NVIDIA” tactic doesn’t work this time. They are falling out of competition.

AMD will need to price at least 15% less to be competitive with nvidia!

NGL I'm happy with my 9950x. Basically same gaming performance as 7950X3D and a monster desktop/workstation CPU.

FSR 3.1 does work really well too honestly in the games I've tried it in on my GTX 1080 Ti. Injecting it into games that support DLSS 2 works really well. There's a lot less ghosting and fizzle like FSR 2 is infamous for. I have a video injecting XeSS in place of DLSS if you are curious

the fact that they want to see Nvidia's pricing first before giving aggressive pricing just shows they weren't serious about their plan to be aggressive. AMDs Greed at it again.

Man I really miss more personal names for products like my old Radeon Vega. Nowadays everything is a soulless number, Kia EV3, Radeon 9000, VW ID3.

I wish there is 8-core X3D 50CU RDNA4 SKU that would be such a win chip and would sell like hotcakes. Bit surprised such big APU is not X3D infused.

What I want to see is what the CPU headroom requirement for these new AI driven cards are. somehow I suspect that they will NEED a 9800x3d at minimum for them to work properly
